Guilds Guild Mass Message

This is a simple thing that can be added to the guilds making them more efficient. My idea is for all Chiefs to have the ability to leave mass messages to the clan meaning when they logged on they would be informed.

Ex: /guild mass Hey we will be doing a promotion to Captain tomorrow! @ 3 pm EST...

I think this would be nice to help new members and just to inform the guild.

 

How about you just get a skype chat or conversation instead...

 

What if not everyone has a skype though?

 

Skype is free and takes 2 minutes to download.

 

I see your point, because a lot of the older users have Skype (including me), but at the same time, what about the younger players whose parents won't allow them?

 

I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to use skype as long as you don't use the call or webcam function.

 

That's why I made this idea :D 2 people in my guild can't use skype. :(

I think this is an excellent idea!

Perhaps the people simply prefer not to use skype for personal reasons. Not all people feel comfortable with voice chat over the internet.
Anyway, I think the idea of being able to post a guild message ingame is a great idea.

How would the players see this message, though? It could theoretically be something like "/guild news Hey, we're gathering players to raid Ragni!" and the message is displayed to each user as he logs onto the server.

 

@DarkSamus9000 well it would either work like a auto broadcaster popping up every 5-10 minutes. Or it could work like a MOTD [Message of the day] sorta thing where it would pop up one time when you logged on.

Except people talk there and the message gets buried behind hundreds of messages. This would be a good idea.

Also when I meant 2 people in my guild can't use skype I mean their parents won't let them talk to strangers.
