World Wynncraft Lore Edit

Okay, so it's known that Dern, the 3rd province in the land of Wynn, it heavily corrupted. So, instead of Dern being an entirely different province, it could be an alternate reality of Wynn and Gavel. In this alternate reality, the villagers never came to Wynn, and the humans (players) lost the war of corruption, and it has since spread to Gavel, putting it into a similar state of Wynn, and Wynn would be completely desolated, with only a few small towns. The way to access this alternate reality, you would need to do a quest that leads you to gaining access to a portal, or a soft spot between the realities, located on Dead Island. The reason why Dead Island would be the gateway is because of the Dern Minions, who are corrupted enemies that have leaked from Dern through the portal or soft spot. Also, since the mages had their magic taught to them by the people of dern, the quest in which the player can access the portal would be located on mage island. But please, if you have suggestions and if I got any of the Dern lore wrong please tell me and I'll fix the post

 

I always thought Dern was filled with mushroom people...

 

So... We know next to nothing about Dern and very little about Gavel... Just wait before you have played through the Gavel content before making suggestions for a project his large.

Also, the scale of this is unrealistic. It would be making two entirely new provinces, which just to do one, has taken over a year. Do you want to sit on your ass for two years as you get a giant, downtrodden world, with nothing but reused content is added?

I say reused because the opposite of our quests, in a scenario in which we had been beaten by monsters, isn't fun to play against. The only logici quest line would be to fight back. That is already the main quest system of Wynn.

All in all, it's to unrealistic given the time and content.

 

Please do not make plans for Dern when Gavel isn't even released yet.
Also, we have exactly zero information about the province.

 

Actually doesn't it say somewhere that Dern is located behind the abandoned mines?

 

If it does so, I have never heard of it.

I don't believe anyone said straight out that Dern was behind the abandoned mines. There's just clues and theories behind them.

 

All we know about dern is that it has to do with wynn and that it has something to do with mountains I think?

 

I think it said in the Official Wynncraft lore.

Before I say anything I want to point out that I am obsessed with Dern. I have been scrambling over it and researching for months. I may reference things you do not understand, and you can check my Dern theory thread to understand more.

That out of the way, let me tell you a little something...

1) The official storyline says that they found Dern while mining where is now known as the abandoned mines. Not on dead island.

2) It was stated that the Dern beast got onto alive island by Bob bringing an egg to the island

3) Many spots it points out (will explain next) that Dern is not uninhabited due to corruption with only a few towns, but rather inhabited by endermen

4) The mage thing you are quoting comes from the unofficial wiki. And even there it says they were trained on mage island, but learned how to teleport from the people of dern. Not taught all there magic by them

5) The Christmas Chaos quest and the OFFICIAL storyline clearly states that there are "3 provinces" and no more. This clearly states that Dern is another Provence, not an alternate reality. (Lets put asside my Theory 2 for this one)

6) Even if you are right, it is stated at the end of the WE quest D about light, dark, and corruption. So due to the alternate dimensions, Dern is complete opposite of Gavel. So saying it is another Wynn is one thing, saying it is another Gavel is different...

Sorry for busting your balls with facts, but please next time, do your research

Already did something along this line a while ago before the reset. Before Dern was officially getting hyped about and people thought Gavel was soon, I made a quest about an opposing reality to Wynn. I made detailed quests and side-quests with it, and it still got declined. Sorry, bro

 

OR considering what the lore ALREADY says we can just make it a province of pure corruption that has terrain entirely similar to The Roots of Corruption. Also make the NPC's zombie villagers.
