Are We Going To Have Elytra In Gavel?

It would be really cool to have elytra in gavel, or a spell that launches you in the air and you fly with the elytra, pls make that a thing, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese

 

The simple answer would be no.

If you would like a reason, however, it is because Gavel will most likely be released before or in the beginning of 1.9. Wynncraft isn't even full 1.8 yet, and will be with Gavel. 1.9 will most likely take a couple months to convert the server to, so I wouldn't expect to see them anytime soon.

 

I don't see wynncraft becoming 1.9, I feel like if elytra was a thing in wynn everyone would be using it, seeing you can literally go so fast making the mobility spells like escape and tele nearly useless.

 

Wynncraft isn't even 1.8 yet. And even if wynncraft would be updated to 1.9 it is still a bad idea.

 

Unfortunately, you´re gonna have to wait until the new coding system and offhand is jumped over before anything about 1.9 is added.

 

Maybe it could be a minigame you could go to a house at Cinfras to play or something, instead of it being in the map itself

So all the version problems have been covered already. But now, think about how this would affect the gameplay. The second spell would be useless, it'd be easier to glitch out of the map or reach areas that you shouldn't, and it most of all, it'd be extremely overpowered. Imagine the archer getting a double escape and gliding all the way down using the Elytra. You could camp Death, Bob, and just about anything you wanted.
