Server Lag

Yeah, so basically it's hard to enjoy the servers when its so laggy, but the server itself is not the problem. It's the location. Could there be more servers in a few different continents maybe? (nudge nudge how about Australia) Also, where are they located right now? I'm assuming its the US but not sure. Thanks.

 

Bro, even then, there's still going to be server lag. it's unavoidable really, well, sometimes it is, but not always

 

This is WynnCraft, with tons of custom plugins that no-one has ever seen before. Lag is inescapable, and it's something we have to deal with. I think the majority of the time it's actually alright.

 

Get used to the lag. Even wither a good gaming computer and good wifi I experiance a ton of lag

I notice that it's usually just a 10-second spike of lag and not just constant ping lag.

 

I call it the freeze, i'm grinding mobs for 10 minutes or so and suddenly everything stops, after 10 seconds or so they start moving again, but i didn't die, which means everything stops on the server which is kinda nice.

It wouldn't help too much, and extra servers are expensive. Even the big server that begins with an H can't really afford it.

 

If lag really bothers you, get better wifi or a better computer. The server will always lag, and always has.
Trust me, if you think Wynn's current lag is a lot, you've seen nothing.

 

That sentence made me giggle.

 

It's called "server side" lag, because the whole server freezes up. If just you freeze up, it's called "client side."

 

Try getting optifine mod, it will improve performance by quite a bit :)
