You have to work on your constructive criticism, just saying "you have to work on your post" is vague when my post is pretty much an essay, organizing spoilers are hard since the editing option gives little space to work with and spoilers also take up a lot of room since you dont have an option to keep them closed during editing. Tell me what I need to fix, and i'll try my best to fix it.

I don't think levels should affect whether you are able to get a mimic. If you're a level 5 in Troms, then gee whiz you shouldn't be there and whatever happens to you is totally your fault.

It doesn't affect whether you get one or not, it affects what level it will be, Mimics WILL spawn and they will all be marked with the red lack from Trapped Chests.

A mimic in this case is an enemy that takes the form of a chest to act as lure to get you to awaken it, which it then attacks you, might scare the living soul out of you, which is what it tries to achieve so it may kill you.

Since anything can be a mob now(possibly) I thought of this suggestion a while back about having a mob that'll be dangerous to unwary explorers/looters. This mob would look like a regular chest but this specific chest would be a trapped chest with the same 'critical hit' particles as regular chests, so there's a way of spotting a trapped chest, this chest also takes the spot of regular loot chests, they are not able to be found within several hundred blocks of ragni, to keep things balanced and not having level 10s being eaten by a level 70 chest

A level 1 Mimic chest would spawn a level 1-30 Mimic, the high level gap is not really a gap, the 'gap' would be levels of a mimic which, is automatically chosen by the player level, it can and will only be a lower level or more than the level of the player that awakened the mimic, meaning it will be easier to kill even though it may have already killed your heart. Level 2 loot chest would be 15-45, loot chest 3 would be 30-60,Loot chest four would be 45-75. Each level, the mimic would have more health, damage, and better loot drops(Quality will increase more than quantity)

So now, the type of Mimics are now related to their biome, examples of what I mean
Ragni has no mimics
Nivla woods would have Forest Mimics which are level 1-5
The Corruption portal and everything around it that is corrupted would have a Corrupted Mimic that are level 20-30
Around Detlas would have a type of City Mimic that is level 10-15
Around the Coast will have no Mimics
Nemract(Old and new) would have Rotting Mimics which are level 20-25
Nemracts graveyard will have no Mimics
Pirates bay will have no Mimics
Black road and Almujs path will have Conspicuous Mimics which are level 10-30
The Abandoned Mine will have Isolated Mimics that are level 1-10
Throughout Almuj and it's desert would have Arid Mimics that are level 30-40
Rymek and its plateau would have level 30-40 Tanned Mimics
The islands on the Ocean would have level 10-70 Mimics depending on where the island is, Dead island will have Rotting Mimics which are level 70
Volcanic islands would have Volcanic Mimics which are level 50-60
Islands closer to Wynn than Gavel would have low level Mimics and vice versa for Mimics closer to Gavel
Maro Peaks would have Mountainous Mimics which are level 60-80
Nesaak and it's Taiga forest would have Freezing Mimics that are level 40-50
Mark Twains owned land will have Haunted Chests that are level 40-60 and
The unnamed frozen wasteland that protects The Tower of Ascension would have Gelid Mimics that are level 45-60
Throughout the regular Jungle there would be Jungle Mimics that are level 50-75
The mysterious Dernal jungle would have Dernal Mimics that are level 60-80
All these levels are based around the player level too, and the abandoned mine, Dead island, and the Twain mansion always have Mimics.

The drops a mimic may have, will mainly be plain old emeralds, but don't fret, the higher the level of the mimic, the better the loot will become.

Loot from a level 1 mimic would be an emerald or 3. Level 30 mimic would drop 40 emeralds. Level 45 Mimic would drop an emerald block and so on, sometimes an item can be gained, but there will be less emeralds dropped if you gain an item from the kill. Level of the item will be around the level of the player who opened it, like normal, Unique items are more common than Rare items which are even more common than the elusive Legendary items scattered around wynn(and possibly Gavel).

Hey, one thing, there are actually multiple types of mimics. One kind originates from the book trilogy "Song of Dragons" and in that book, they are basically undead zombie like creatures, that act as normal people, and things like that. it's odd, but I have a cool idea for it. Maybe I will post my idea ;P
