Pets & Horses Horse Food

This is a small change which hopefully makes horses slightly less powerful, as right now they are very good and give you a huge advantage.

When you use your horse, your horse will get hungry, so you need to feed it. You can buy horse food (apples, hayblock, .ect) from all cities, for a low price though. The lower the hunger on your horse, the slower it runs, and you lose more hunger the further you run.

I think it'd add more realism, and add a small nerf to horses which I think is needed.

 

horses are balanced by their price, adding this might be nice but I prefer to think of horses as a one payment buy.

 

More like, I get freaking hungry on the horse. :T

Horses cost enough already. I don't want to have to pay more so I can actually use my horse properly.

 

Horse food would cost a couple emeralds, it won't make you bankrupt but it means you actually have to care for the horse, so its not always free and is more realistic.

 

Over time, it all adds up

 

Guys when you get a horse your gonna be 25+, a hay cost like 3 emralds, not EB your paying 1eb for 20 hay.... I make like 1eb every 30 sec at level 26...

 

How are horses an advantage? And they are already super expensive!

 

basically you can zoom through the map at a very fast pace so i think this would be a nice touch to the game

 

But its a 1 time pay. With this, the more you use it, the more expensive it is.

Its not as if 2 emeralds for an apple which keeps your horse from being hungry for 10 minutes is going to kill you. That's over 5 hours just for 1EB(ish), which isn't much.

Im pretty sure that paying over 40.000 emeralds for 1 horse already shows you that you care about your horse anyway.

 

Horses cost 24eb, if you pay 40,000 emeralds for a white horse then that has nothing to do with spending a couple emeralds to stop it from being a tiny bit slower.

Like I said, 1EB will be around 5 hours of your horse being max speed, which isn't exactly much.

 

Sure, but at that price, all this does is make sure you stop by a city once in a while, which would be annoying

 

Although 1 EB isnt much it adds up over time and gives another reason to ignore horses.
