I really like the detail and work you put into this suggestion!
It does not look like something one could write in a matter of 5 Minutes, it looks like you thought pretty well about it.



Now for real. This idea seems not like the worst.
BUT
I'd recommand you to
1. Put more efford into your suggestions
2. Think if it fits into the game and is not overpowered

Furthermore, if you encounter a problem in your thread, it wouldn't hurt to also add something to solve it, not just

"Hey that is a problem, but you could do this"
What do you mean by "this", by the restrictions? What kind of restrictions? Quest Requirement? Or some kind of ressource you need for flying that you only get on higher levels?
It doesn't help to make something "endgame", thats not really accurate.

What use would this serve if we're mostly on flat ground, even if the user were on a cliff how common would that be to get to a desired place?

So far I only see archers heavily benefiting on this

 

Everyone that said this is op... I agree... really... why...

 

If they make it strictly 1.9+ they will lose a lot of players. Until they have something amazing to add which utilizes 1.9+ features, they're keeping it 1.8 and up.

 

Why would they lose players?

 

Many, many players including myself use 1.8 because it doesn't have the changed pvp mechanics, and 1.8 is a lot more stable than any version above it.

 

Tbh, I'd only like this if it was intended to be a cosmetic. Having an item like this would simply be too op...

 

Dude the PvP for Wynn is the same no matter what version you use. The hit timer still appears, but it doesn't actually do anything.

Alright. Go into 1.9 or above, get a weapon and swing it. See how it takes some time to go back to it's normal position? That's what I'm talking about. lol

I play on other servers a lot more than wynncraft, and I dont want to restart my game everytime I log onto wynncraft or hypixel

I mean all the servers are updated to 1.11 but i see your point because pvp is more fluid in 1.8 for some games

If you don't like the cooldown indicator you can easily disable it, but really I don't notice any differences when playing 1.8 wynn or 1.9+

 

Alright, I said no the second I looked at the title, but allow me, kind sir or madam, to give a rather unique explanation..

Some of us players -cough- are a little -cough- broke -coughcough- and our computers suck horribly- extreme coughing- and when an elytra is used this player's fps drops down from it's average of 15 to about 1 -HACKHACKCOUGHCOUGH-

This would add a lot more to the server's in-game lag, which is already quite large, and literally no one wants more lag unless you flat out hate humanity and wish that the whales would be left alone.
