ok so can anyone explain why all the best fucking gear in this game is locked behind singular powerful bosses? yeah i know theres lootrunning now and there are different types of events like the waves one but lootrunning is mainly used for making money. For example qira hive, legendary island, Raid bosses and i could go on and on and on. a lot of good gear like accessories that come from such places you have to defeat a boss for them, which is what i think is unfair. literally every class besides shaman has 1v1 capabilities against bosses, but shaman already has reduced resistance and sub par single target damage so it falls behind. THE REASON this is an issue is as i said, because most good accessories are locked behind fights with bosses like this, and i think its bland. My suggestions are to rework some of these events to make them more fair towards the strength of shamans, for example a invasion type of boss fight where you have to defend a certain point while enemies come from all directions, or how the old underworld crypt boss fight was where you spawned your own mobs to kill the boss, but on a much larger scale.

TDLR : too much endgame gear is locked behind singular boss fights which isnt fair towards shamans

It sounds just that Shaman is a bad class.

Shaman can absolutely take on single targets with a proper build, and is more than capable of soloing everything the game might demand. In addition, this is an MMO, where you can ask people for help against a difficult boss or a challenge.

im pretty stupid and bad at the game (i use morph overdrive lol)
and my shaman class has done most of the game solo (pre2.0)
not to mention summoner works perfectly fine against most bosses/single targets
game is an mmo so get some one to help you (as a shaman u can heal so people want you around anyway)

but yes there should be more wave based endgame content that helps you get stuff
simmilar to how raids/lootruns already work

RIP was the best dungeon in the game before it was updated

I've never found single enemy boss fights to be noticeably harder on shaman compared to any other class. I have found shaman to be insanely good at everything other than boss fights compared to other classes though. Have you gotten to the endgame and fought the bosses on other classes? It might be that the bosses are just hard, regardless of your class.
I've found that if anything Shaman tends to be very well-rounded against all opponents where other archetypes are frequently specialized to the point of becoming comically ineffective in certain situations, for example Shadestepper which pretty much loses its main source of dps and survivability against bosses that don't have minions, since silent killer doesn't work meaning half of your abilities can now only be used once every 6 seconds or so. Compare this to Ritualist which is kind of explicitly designed to be versatile, and the fact that on Shaman you have a spell to heal you so you don't have to rely on crowds of mobs for life steal or anything like that.

I do tend to lean towards using glassy builds on all class though, so take that into consideration as I might not feel as much of a difference between classes.
