Not to be confused with the category of XP Bombs, Item Bombs etc.

    Powder Bombs

So right now players tend to just throw out any low-tier powders they come across since they clog up your inventory, this idea is to utilize these powders as literal bombs so they can not only be useful, but also disposable while benefiting the player.

Basically, the player can hold any powder and left-click to 'throw' the powder as a projectile. The velocity would be around half that of Snowballs, Eggs and Ender Pearls. The projectile sprite will be that of the powder in item form followed by a smoke trail colored corresponding to the element of the powder.

If a tier 1 powder is thrown, it will disappear from the player's inventory. However any tier 2 or higher powders will be reduced by 1 tier, meaning tier 6 powders can be thrown 6 times, with its tier decreasing by 1 with each throw.

Upon hitting a solid block or entity, the powder bomb will explode, triggering the following effects depending on the powder used.

    *****

    Green Powder Bomb (Earth)
Explodes in a 5-block area, dealing 20% of the player's primary weapon damage but in pure Earth damage (not boosted by any identifications or potion effects). After that, poison potion particles linger in the affected area, dealing 5% damage per second to enemies in the cloud for 5 seconds.

Tier 4+ Additional effect: Damage over time to enemies will linger for a further 5 seconds after they leave the cloud.

    Yellow Powder Bomb (Thunder)

Explodes in a 5-block area, dealing 20% of the player's primary weapon damage but in pure Thunder damage (not boosted by any identifications or potion effects). After that, fireworksSpark particles linger in the affected area, halving the defenses of all enemies in the cloud for 5 seconds.

Tier 4+ Additional effect: The elemental weaknesses of affected enemies will be increased by 50% as long as they remain in the cloud.

    Blue Powder Bomb (Water)

Explodes in a 5-block area, dealing 20% of the player's primary weapon damage but in pure Water damage (not boosted by any identifications or potion effects). After that, bubble particles linger in the affected area, healing all players in the cloud by 5% of their total HP each second for 5 seconds.

Tier 4+ Additional effect: Removes all negative potion effects and fire from allies each second in the cloud.
    Red Powder Bomb (Fire)
Explodes in a 5-block area, dealing 20% of the player's primary weapon damage but in pure Fire damage (not boosted by any identifications or potion effects). After that, flame particles linger in the affected area, increasing the Strength and Defense of all players in the cloud by 10% for 5 seconds (stacks onto War Scream buffs).

Tier 4+ Additional effect: Doubles all elemental defenses of allies in the cloud.

    White Powder Bomb (Air)

Explodes in a 5-block area, dealing 20% of the player's primary weapon damage but in pure Air damage (not boosted by any identifications or potion effects). After that, largeSmoke particles linger in the affected area, decreasing the movement speed of all enemies in the cloud by 75% for 5 seconds.

Tier 4+ Additional effect: Enemies within 10 blocks of the cloud will be pulled towards it.

    *****

So basically, each powder does pure elemental damage in a 5x5x5 block region, then follows with additional effects. Earth deals additional damage over time, Thunder weakens the defenses of enemies, Water heals allies over time, Fire boosts the performance of allies for a short time and Air traps enemies in an area.

The tier 4+ additional effects are further boosts and rewards the player for throwing high tier powders. Earth will continue to deal damage even after the cloud wears off, Thunder will amplify the weaknesses of enemies, Water will cleanse players of negative potion effects and/or combustion, Fire will double the elemental defenses of allies and Air will form a vacuum that sucks in mobs out of the cloud's reach.

This can definitely see play in Wynn adventures, players can use powders they randomly come across in chests as attacks instead of throwing them out. In events like boss fights, these powder bombs can prove to be a great asset to have. Dealing damage over time to enemies, weakening their defenses (rip Qira), healing allies even absent of a Mage, strengthening the power of allies or greatly suppressing the boss' movement speed, making them easy targets.

Players can carry several tier 1 powders (since they stack) and use them as conventional grenades. Their additional effects only add to their utility.

A note worthy of second mention is that tier 2 or higher powders will be reduced by 1 tier if they are thrown instead of disappearing. If a tier 4 powder is thrown, it will activate the tier 4+ additional effect, but revert to a tier 3 upon use.

One of the most common criticisms I can already see coming is the fact that players may accidentally throw high tier powders. My response to this is: git gud.

    Well that's about it.

Congratsss this is a great idea but it be better if like earth summons a gloem, fire it explodes continously, thunder everything in the radius of the bomb gets struck by lightning, water it rains in the area giving mana regen and health regen and finally air the mobs get thrown up into the sky. the reason i say this is because even teir one powder is a rare drop from mobs and it only makes sense that when you use it its decntly powerful and not just buffs but overall great idea.

I think you should change it so that you can use one tier of powders 4 times as that is how many you need to upgrade one.

That would have the problem, that people would then use a tier 3 times and then use it. Effectively giving them 4 times the powder they actually have. It would also be 3 uses not 4 because if you use them 3 times you would then only have one of the lower tier powders left so it kinda makes more sense like that.
