I'm pretty sure this has already come up, but it's topical again so I'm restarting it:

    We need festival buckets.

My fest items are currently overflowing and I have four bank pages for them. I physically cannot store all of my Blizzard fest items in a single page. If I break my organisation and maybe buy some more bank pages I might stave off storage collapse for a year or two more, but fundamentally I'm a non and I only have 2 char and misc bucket pages to work with.

The festivals don't seem to be ending any time soon. They consistently turn out large numbers of year-marked collectibles that you're evidently intended to collect for maximum completion. There is no method of satisfactory disposal, and storage is limited, so even if you're a Champion with all banks fully maxed eventually you will run out of storage, and most players are not, in any case. I have complained about this before.

The solution is simple: make themed festival chests for housing which expand for each festival you attend (maybe you could socket in your collected fest badges to prompt this expansion), so there's no risk of festival items overrunning the limited storage available. This chest cannot be rank-locked or else there would be no point. I expect that it wouldn't be too difficult to make sure that fest boxes only accept fest items, so you can make sure that they aren't abused for infinite storage by players.

Is there any CT plan other than 'oh, we didn't expect you to collect them all multiple times'?

    yes PLEASE
look i have made like 18 threads on this but keep churning em out please

here are all my ideas for getting them to make it not TOO overpowered.
    Buy them with emeralds
get them from rewards from the scavenger hunt/searching minigames
    buy them with event currency
    buy them with minigame currency
use the emblem (i like this one)
maybe even by doing the Festival Mystery (idk why they would do that but all the ideas means ALL the ideas)
    completing objectives
    tertiary minigame (inviting ppl)
    npc gifts
    store item (plz no)
    quest rewards
buy them with mats on housing
    craft them
    chests
    idk im out of ideas

good news! with this year's heroes we've elected to stop adding year tags to most of the items (with exceptions for the big things like bovine plushie, emblems, etc). so this will cease to be a problem going forward

It's not going to cease to be a problem just because the year tags are gone. The mere *existence* of a new set of items every year is going to drive a lot of people to collect them, again, including me.

that is the opposite of the solution. They are still unstackable, and the year tags were GOOD! the point of the year tags is you could have your items stay valuable as collectors or tradeable items, even throughout the years, because of the tags. the new items are still unstackable and take the same amount of space 90% of the time

this was the initial intent behind the year tags, yes, but over time it has proven to not actually make them valuable. nobody cares to buy a 2022 minstrel's tuner or a 2021 wynnter's wine because these items do not really have value. the big collectibles such as, as i mentioned, the bizarre bovine plushie or the festival emblems have kept their year tags, for obvious reasons. the rest have no reason to.
as for stackability issues: correct. we are unable to modify previous versions of these items to make them stackable, but future year versions of these items will now stack forever.

oh good. How about this. Currently every item from 3 years of each festival fills up more than a misc bucket page. Give every player one more misc bucket page to compensate for the current items, and *then* use that system

one misc bucket page wouldn't really solve the problem since i've got four bank pages of festival gear

again, the problem is that expanding misc. bucket is unpalatable to CT because it'll give players extra storage for stuff that isn't festival

so maybe a Festival Antiques Bucket, for throwing items in with year tags?
