So, when you are just about to finish the tutorial quest, the King of Ragni says that you should train before you venture out of the city. However, this isn’t really possible because there isn’t a real area to train. Sure, there are combat dummies and parkour, but that doesn’t really teach a new player a lot about actual combat. Not to mention that it’s very unlikely for a new player to actually use them as they are kind of isolated.

    The idea
What if there was an actual training area in Ragni, like the training area in the Temple of Legends but for new players instead? Something that would not be difficult to find, maybe even Ragni’s King or Tasim can point you in the right direction.
The mobs there would be aggressive and have names like “Ragni Recruit” or “Ragni Soldier”, like in the Temple of Legends. You could fight them, but they wouldn’t drop EXP.

    Why tho
It’s a fairly small suggestion that I feel would add a lot to the city, especially if it is clearly visible and easy to access. I’ve seen people who’ve just come into Ragni stumble across the combat dummies, attack them, like, twice, and then leave. It would be so cool to actually have an area to train a little. Even if it doesn’t get used immediately, someone might come back from the Emerald Trail and think, “hey, this is a good area to practice spellcasting without hordes of zombies chasing me.”

    Final thoughts
I don’t really have much to say here, but there are two small things i’d like to address:
    1. Having a training area in Ragni would match Troms as they are almost like sister cities.
    2. In said training area, you wouldn’t die, you would just get teleported out on low health to avoid soul point loss. Or, you could just remove soul points, but that’s a whole different thing.
That’s it for me, have a good day/night!

I think it's a better idea to teach the player with the actual stuff they encounter in the world. It means you can have the experience of learning the mechanics of the game (fun) while also exploring new parts of the world (fun) at the same time (meaning twice the fun at the same time).
It's hard to do this now since every time you mess up badly as a new player you're given a running counter of how many times you can die again before you will be forced by the game to take a break and do your homework or something, which strongly disincentivizes you from actually trying to learn the combat as it is inherently a risky thing to do.

I think largely your complaint in the first paragraph of your post is just that the current tutorial sucks, which is true. The game does not teach you to circle-strafe, or teach you about mob spell combos, or teach you anything remotely helpful about building (it actually lies to you about what the elements do in Elemental Excercise (at least pre-lootrun-update)), along with a whole plethora of other things that you will need in the future. My first at least year and a half and probably more of Wynncraft were spent being very confused about all of these things I've mentioned, having to figure them out by myself using the forums and wiki and youtube videos, which isn't really how this should work.

Yeah, mostly this is just about how the current tutorial doesn’t teach enough, hence the training arena. But on the other hand, learning things like spell combos and mob attacks through real, soul-taking combat will encourage a new player to explore the world to learn more, which I think the new Elemental Exercise and other new quests do a great job of. In retrospect, learning through exploring the world seems much more appealing than just sitting in Ragni and then going out to beat up zombies.
