Downgrades

Downgrades allow players to perform a spell in any form that it was before it's latest upgrade. For example, a level 64 Archer may use arrow shield without the rain of arrows. Why would someone want to do this? Probably no reason at all, but content that has been available should always be available, even if we don't need or want it. Maybe someone could downgrade to remind them self of their first days of Wynncraft some how, I don't know! Personally, I feel like the 3-burst spell upgrades feel too bulky for assassin and archer, so if I had access to previously upgraded spells I would want to go back to when arrow storm last only had 1 row of arrows firing. Maybe I feel better with only 1 smoke bomb per spell? Who knows?!

Of course all the character stats would stay the same when downgrades happen, the only change is the spell's utility. For example, if you had a Flawless birch bow that does 38-42 damage, and downgrade your triple shot arrow storm, the damage would still be 38-42.

How would you downgrade?!?!
Simply click on your compass supplied with every login to the Wynncraft realm and click "weapon info" to bring up a new gui which contains icons that determine spells stacked 1-3 depending on how far you have upgraded that spell. Here is an example of how a level 40 archer would see it -

Arrow 1/2/3 - Signifies Arrow Storm I/II/III
Feather 1/2 - Signifies Escape I/II
Magma Charge 1/2 - Signifies Arrow Bomb I/II
Nether Star 1 - Signifies Arrow Shield I
Stained Glass Panes - Not yet unlocked upgrades

To select the downgrade you wish to use, simply click the level of the spell according to its number of stacked items!

Whould the damage also be set back to the scaling it was at that level of spell

 

For example, if a class was nerfed, and you could switch back to the "not-nerfed" version... :3

 

Oh, well the developers could easily just remove the option for the previous nerf, thanks!

 

Probably not, but I'm not entirely sure...

 

I could see high level Archers just using tier 1 or 2 Areow Storm since they are a lot easier to land
