    It depends on how high your agility is, your health, and (to a much lesser extent) your elemental defense, as well as mana regen/water damage for a shaman or mage

    I try to go for atleast 15-20k EHP using just defense points (so you don't get one-shotted or melted), and having atleast 75+ defensive sp, preferably more (I like very tanky stuff though, so I end up with more like 120+ defensive sp). It also depends on how much life sustain you have. If you have high health regen or lifesteal, or anything like that you can get away with having lower defenses.

    Really it's all up to preference though.
