World Craftmas Chaos Quest

    This is kinda a kinda annoying feature with the crafts chaos quest, but when you're at the stage to kill the boss in Old Selchar, you respawn in Selchar and you have to go all the way back to Santa's island to go back. I suggest that you respawn in Old Selchar instead.

    This isn't a bug. Old Selchar is not a town, therefore you cannot respawn in it. Also this is a suggestion.

    This has been addressed in all sorts of more important quests, and its very hard to code, it wouldn't be worth it to do lots of coding for 1 quest

    I dunno,I feel like that this problem exists not only in craftmas chaos,but also some other long quests such as WynnExcavation site D,Flight in Distress,Fantastic Voyage where the quests is chopped up into multiple parts and if you die you gotta go all the way back to the beginning. I feel like that they can actually do some checkpoints and make that if the player dies that can spawn in that same quest area. This may not work very well as if you die in quest A's quest area and you may respawn in another quest's quest area,but I think that this checkpoint feature is really nescessary as its really annoying to go such a long way back each time you dies

    It used to be (for me at least) that whenever I died during this quest, I always got TP'ed to either Old Selchar or New Selchar.

    @FluffyWarspite yes, that is the case. It's just sloppy programming, it's just 'if a player dies, respawn at nearest town'- so, this means dying in the Fantastic Voyage area respawns in the Jofash Docks... Same with the green skinned trouble quest. Dying in Gregg'r's boss room causes you to respawn in the starting area by the caravan driver. Not having a Llevigar TP scroll is bad for that.

    I think that it would be fine. Respawning in Old Selchar after killing the island core is fine, because you have to go all the way back down. And, I think it would be so much easier on players to have a system coded for better respawning and it would be worth the effort.

    The respawn system would have to be completely re-written to allow for quest respawning.

    It's not just one person... My brother wants it implemented too.... And that makes two! (Ha! Beat that! :D)

    Yes. That is the only problem, but it depends since it could be worth the effort.

    Sometimes you gotta rewrite things. I admit that right now it's not necessary, but later on in Wynncraft's life we may need to look at changing the respawn system a bit.

    If you read about this issue on our Issue Tracker on Github, you would've seen that I had been able to solve this issue (for Flight in Distress, at least).
