    This is a better version of the other thread I did which is called Legendary and Mythic Items.

    Why getting legendaries and mythics are weird

    Hi, I'm going to say something, and something you most likely wouldn't like to here
    I don't like the legendary or mythic system
    Now you're most likely saying "WHAT HOW CAN YOU DEFY THE WYNNCRAFT TEAM? YOU EVI-"
    But wait, let me talk about it first! The reason I do not like it because it makes no sense. No sense at all.
    "but, but, it makes so much sense, what are you talking about????????"
    Firstly, where do you get a mythic or legendary
    "um um um.. By grinding and loot running?"
    Yes and do you think that makes sense?
    "well yeah kind of"
    And why do you think it makes sense?
    "I dunno"
    Yeah, because it doesn't make sense.

    Why?Because how would legendary or mythic items be in some random mobs body or in some random chest.
    "But but it could have fallen to a mob or inside a chest.."
    It could have? You are telling me that most legendary items and mythics, example Stratiformus has its origins from the elves and somehow, thoses elves somehow lost that powerful bow they work so hard on, and that it went past the canyon of the lost, and somehow went into molten heights.To be inside a mobs stomach.

    The Legendary and Mythic Plan
    Wait wait wait- I have couple of plans!
    One of them is called the Legendary and Mythic Plan!
    "wow what a cool name..."
    Don't judge! But here is how it would work
    Legendaries
    Legendaries won't just come from anywhere, it will come from a place where a lore said it originated from and if it doesn't say that, it could be from a place that would make the most sense
    It would come from a boss or special mob that would most likely would have it like for example Hellstrand, you could get that weapon by sneaking into the order of abyss and taking out the guy who would most likely have it like a boss.
    That instead of getting the unidentified item, it would be a "broken item" that you should get materials from around that area to recreate it.
    Mythics

    Mythics aren't going to be like legendaries, they will be much harder to find. Finding the mythic would be the same as doing the ??? quest but a lot more time consuming and frustrating, so you would need a group to do it, and only one of you is getting that one piece of the broken mythic
    Mythics won't be like legendaries, mythics won't be "broken items" It will be broken but not as broken as legendaries. You would need to find around 6 pieces of it to turn it into a "broken item" .
    t is just a stronger version of the legendary but way harder to get. So you basically need to do the ??? quest 6 times, with a group, and the location will be different every time. which might take a whole day, just to turn it into a broken item. You would need material from around that area but it would be 2x or 3x as much then a legendary. And only one person gets the mythic

    Crafting System

    Legendaries

    You need to get the broken item of that legendary item, gather items to recreate it and that would give it it's magical powers, then you give it to what I call the "Master Identifier", to create the legendary weapon, and would show a cinematic of him using magic to recreate the weapon



    Mythics

    You would need to get 6 pieces of a mythic and give it to the "Master Identifier" to recreate only the structure, which would only do 0-0 dmg. And you would need to gather items, but items that 2x or 3x the number of the legendary. After that is done, you won't give it to the "Master Identifier", You would give it to the "Grand-master Identifier which would need around 10 of them to make such a strong weapon. Would show around 10 Grand-master Identifiers barely creating a mythic with their magic


    Quest

    Just a option but a quest that shows an introduction to how item identifiers create weapons and has a school based around that, and show how item identifiers are so much more then people who help you make your weapon usable

    And that's it with my thread, and if you don't like it, please share why and how I can improve it as I'm still fairly new at this. I would like to make this a real thing if possible, but this is for practice so I can get better at this and make some better ideas. And that's pretty much it.

    And that's how you fail game design class. And create a witch hunt.

    Not the worst idea, but the execution is mediocre at best.

    Note that that's not the only issue with the suggestion, but the one that best encapsulates what's wrong with the suggestion as a whole. MMORPGs don't need to make sense, and while it would be nice if they did, lore-based things (especially small stuff like this) should wait until the lore is actually complete. It's only made worse by the fact that doing this without creating more lore issues would be pretty difficult. That's not a great explanation, but basically this isn't the way to fix this already minor "issue."

    honestly tho the system is just in place so that stronger items are rarer
    for all that it would matter they could literally be called mythic#1 mythic#2 mythic#3

    Thats not really a suggestion,i think its a REALLY good idea because i think mythic should be a 'quest' and not just grind,but you are basically saying "you need to get x random items in a random place and go to a random identifier",it wont be added if you don't give detail!
