Game Mechanics Backpacks

Alright, so one problem I've been having is full inventory. It's kind of annoying. I think one reason this is happening is that some of the normal inventory slots are being used for Items such as the soul points, quest book, Character info, ingredients pouch, and accessory slots.

My Idea is that There could be another slot added to hold a backpack, or if not that, a bag of some other kind. Maybe you could start out with a small backpack that holds one line of inventory, which would make up for lost space. past that you could make them bigger and hold more Items, but it would be very expensive.

the way it would work is that if your inventory was full, any Items you pick up would go to your backpack instead. quite simple. the backpack would be accessed just like the ingredients pouch, and would most likely go right beside it too.

I believe this would solve a lot of inventory problems I have because I often end up with so many unidentified Items or random gear I'm saving for when I get a high enough level, and it would be really nice to have somewhere to put those so they aren't constantly taking up inventory slots.

Also, another Idea that doesn't have to go with this is that maybe some could have their own little effects like other Items, such as defense up, attack up, speed down, etc. could be a fun little quirk that some have, but won't affect too much that you need to really decide between wearing it or not.

we do not need more slots but we do need players to learn inventory management early on and not use backpacks to solve that issue early game

 

Play ironman and then your pouch is a free backpack
