  E=(mc^2)^2+(pc)^2 is often instead written as E=mc^2 because, as long as your object isn't at relativistic speeds, (pc)^2 is a negligible amount compared to (mc^2)^2. It's kind of like how, for a small enough x, sin(x)=~x (in radians). While it isn't technically correct, it's simpler than Einstein's version.

Moe Ronickah is my professional nickname. I've used it for many years, giving demonstrations at meetings. Obviously, it's a play on a diminutive form of moron that I made up - moronica. My students started calling me "Moe" years ago, and it drove certain administrators crazy that I not only allowed it, I encouraged it.

I used Minecraft in my classroom as a teaching tool, too.
