Game Mechanics World events should have an easy way to invite nearby players to your party

When doing world events I prefer to do them with other people. I try to invite people (ghosts) that I see at an world event location to my party, but since they are constantly moving it is very hard to read their username.

Here's some ideas:

• List the players currently in a world event area in chat
• Add a command to show players near to you
• Automatically create a party for the world event that anyone can join by ex. interacting with the world event marker

 

i agree, but

i feel that this would be impossible? sometimes i find myself running to a world event at the last second, so what about people who were waiting in the area before? i would suggest this to be made in a different way, say maybe a scoreboard element?

i do actually like this idea, but i'd like to prod at it a bit more: what if someone joins a party but then changes their mind?

tbh this kind of is a solved issue, just make a pf listing and pray other people thought of the same

 

Doesn't really sound like a solved issue. My suggestions aren't perfect, it's just what I had in mind at the moment. I'm sure with more thinking a better solution can be found

 

well ok yes, but for what currently exists (pf) and what you're suggesting (a convenient way for people to party up), the difference is convenience and whether or not players willingness, why not party up for world events? i couldnt tell you why either!
