[Raids] Anti-? (The Nexus of Light)

All of the Nexus of Light raid power ups (save neophyte, which is the rare one) are named after one of the nine choirs of angels, except for “Anti”, which doesn’t really fit in with the rest

I propose to change it to fit in with one of the choirs or ranks of angels of angelology:

• Seraphim - Taken
• Cherubim - Taken
• Throne - Taken, also called ophanim I think
• Virtues
• Dominion - Best bet imo
• Powers - a bit on the point
• Principality
• Archangel - you could change it to simply just “Arch” to not be too different
• Last one is just angel lol

Is this a good idea? I think the only thing anti could refer to could be as an opposite to an angel like a demon but I like the idea of changing it to Arch

It used to give 616 exploding iirc, which is the original number used to signify the mark of the beast.

The reason it's Anti and not Antichrist is because Christ obviously doesn't exist in Wynncraft canon. It's like a corruption themed buff.

 

Thank G-d for that, given the Churches, chapels, cathedrals, priests, crosses, (craft)-masses, and otherwise extremely culturally Christian server. I am glad that there is some effort to maintain a separation

I mean... Christianity is a humongous religion with a lot of history. It has influence in a lot of elements of human culture, like gothic architecture and renaissance paintings. There's obviously going to be a lot of stuff that you could tie back to real world christianity when there's the influences of Western Europe riddled all throughout Wynn and in parts of Gavel.

 

That is my point. A lot of servers would be like we don’t care let’s have full Christianity but Wynncraft has been careful about it

Yes that is true. However the structure of the religion is identical to Christianity

But if you think about it, canonically, the bovemists are WRONG. Ther is no evidence that their God is the correct one. However, the elves religion is TRUE and orphion is real!!! Therefore, it should be like
“Anti-light” or something because we are treating orphion like God, especially with the Malachim in the raid

Also isn't the mark of the beast 666? as 777/333 is the holy numbers? I can see why 616 is used for a Christianity adjacent joke lol. Personally I think changing anti to annie would be cool since its a "corruption" based buff. Plus it ties into the lore good :D

 

You don't meaningfully hurt Orphion during the NoL fight. If you were actually fighting him, he'd kick your ass

666 is a mistranslation, as the Bible has gone through so many hands that chunks of it have been intentionally or unintentionally altered from the original authors, the actual mark of the beast from Revelations is 616

honestly I kinda wanna debate that. From my understanding orphion is just the manifestation of light, meaning hes only as powerful as the light would be. With the state the RoL is in and the fact that most of the lights influence has been destroyed/corrupted, I think the player stands a decent chance. Full power orphion absolutely slams, but the current orphi in a legit fight wouldn't be impossible for the player to defeat.

agreed, my though was it uses anti as the buff name so changing it to annie as a reference to annihilation would be cool since it is a devil, and devils do have power like that
