Game Design Legendary Island's Boss Defeat System

    Another abrupt post based off of something annoying that just happened. So I was doing LI, as you do, and then this trapper guy with a laby or smth shows up and kills matrojan in seconds. I'm stuck in the arena w/out a token and i relog, but I have no mana, which means I can barely fight the darn thing, and then a pull spell happens and woops I died.
    tldr please make it like dungeons or make relogging send you back to the wait room for that fight.

    I agree, but frankly the entire island needs a total rework in most areas. It doesn't give enough rewards from ending early to ever consider that besides in a handful of scenarios, it doesn't give enough diamond tokens to buy 2/3 of the items in a single run (a full set of accessories takes six runs per set and anything other than a ring takes two runs on its own, which really adds up when you consider these are meant to be some of the strongest -and therefore most used- accessories in the game, so you'll probably want at least one on multiple classes), the bosses need to be overhauled to match modern quality standards, the token system needs to be overhauled to not use item drops, and the whole "percent of the damage done" thing needs to be removed or reworked entirely because as you've shown here, it is entirely too easy to accidentally (or deliberately) prevent someone from getting the token if you do enough damage. I think this is a good idea though, since relogging is something that has to be taken into consideration, but I really think that they need to fix the causes of a lot of those relogs.

    yes but they made it this way for all dungeons and still managed to push out regular patches. It probably isn't easy, but it cannot be insanely difficult, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered for dungeons in the first place. There also certain quests like Aldorei's Secret Part 1 that do the other option. (If you /class before finding the guy at the top of the elevator, it sends you back to the alchemy lab before all the cutscenes.)
    One might say the lack of reason to go there cancels out the low quality areas, because you barely ever need to go there. I'm honestly of the opinion that fewer cool or powerful items should be locked behind large grinds. (LI, Qira, Outer Void), but adding more rewards would certainly mean upgrading the actual island first
    I will say that Titanium R-4X is balanced, but Death Metal needs a nerf so badly. It can kill my PALADIN. My GUARDIAN PALADIN that can survive hits from the Grootslang at less than 1k hp. It feels like they just said,"Why don't we buff all the LI mobs now that players have aspects?" "It has burst ranged AI." "Eh, who cares?" Also virus doctor and mummyboard are as outdated as heck.

    Yeah, they should definitely do this, since I can't imagine it's that much work. I just really hate that every time I make a build that uses a new LI accessory that I don't have, I've gotta run through the darned thing again, often twice, and the experience of doing so isn't a fun boss rush but rather a boring slog through outdated and poorly balanced content.

    Death Metal is absolutely nutty, honestly it was pretty broken even before the buff. I'll also say that the rat is almost fine in its current form (RIP Yahyabot), but all of the original battles are just so dated. People who talk about wanting a legacy server, just go play LI. It's basically the same.

    I grinded all Li accs in one run back then it really wasnt that fun... The bosses so outdated aaaaa when Fruma? Then they can finally dedicate some resources

    This, the Legendary Island, Qira Hive, and Tower of Ascension bosses need to be '2.1ified' because right now they're unbearable

    Instead of having to learn attack patterns (that you can actually see) you just have to hope you'll react fast enough to the white particles that appear for half a second so you don't get heavy charged into hell

    I miss when you could actually counter heavy charge with ice snake, before it became another, worse, damage spell.
