Why Should a mythic look the same as a common..
Plsss mythic skins

 

You apply your own gear skins to the weapon.

 

This just isn't the same though. For one, every gear cosmetic you get is RNG and for two, mythics and fableds are supposed to be special, so just giving them the same exact textures as everything else is boring. I mean, one relik is a literal handheld mortar and yet it still looks like a normal relik.

It'd be like if Destiny's exotics and FFXIV's rare weapons just looked the exact same as the normal ones. FFXIV does have weapon transmog too but their rare weapons actually look awesome, which is ironic because that's the one MMO where it would actually make sense for the rare stuff to look the same.

Jokes aside, it's probably more work than its worth. There are already cosmetics that offer more because you can change any weapon's appearance whenever, so if you're bored at looking at one model, you can switch to another. It would also likely diminish community packs like mine and ProbsWinter's.

 

I totally agree with this. It feels a bit off when Mythic weapons share the same model as ones you get way earlier in the game. If something is that rare and powerful, its look should reflect that too.

I know cosmetics exist, but still — it’s just natural to expect higher-tier items to stand out visually. Even slight model changes would go a long way in making Mythics feel truly special and worth the grind.
