With the recent hpr tome changes/nerf It will become harder to cancel out negative health regen fully, meaning certain builds including warp have become more annoying.

To account for this change I have 2 intertwined sugestions to reduce the inconvenience of -hpr in general, which long has been a pain. Since even if you have -1 hpr, or much higher for that matter, there is a very annoying tendency to get killed in towns, when afk. Afking is very risky with hpr, at all times no matter the circumstances, even within the areas that are meant to be safe. [yes I have been one-shot in deltas using warp with -3 hpr, due to being afk for like 10 min and getting attacked by a mooshroom.]

First I suggest negating all -hpr within towns, preventing the slow loss of your health when afk. Its hard to always remember to swap to the right weapon or unequip certain gear to cancel out -hpr, due to breaks, like dinner, refiling, water, distractions, and interactions with other people. Also simply panic due to time schedules, simply laziness or forgetfulness. I myself forget like ~1/20 times I forget, its the main reason I don't use -hpr sets ever besides warp, as simply logging into that class drains health.

Second as a qol feature for all players, I suggest that when within either towns. or as a base stat, players get +1 hpr per level. This is to help both players with -hpr, and to help make regenerating health a bit more bearable when changing gear/builds.

[maybe this should simply be part of player stats, default is 1 hpr at level 1, and +1 for every level. But judging by the tome nerf I doubt the IM want this..] But currently its scaling sucks late earlygame to early lategame and you have to build for it... which isnt really a thing until endgame for most players... This is a long term, issue from old decisions, like strength and dexterity scaling]

I would consider these both as much needed changes, especially for lower level players who may not necessarily understand -hpr and its need to be canceled out.] [Also I myself went broke around level 50 due to constantly buying pots using -hpr gear back in 1.16] This suggestion also stems from how any -hpr, even when not afk, even within towns you have the tendency to need potions. Also for wynntils players we get a constant ugly red overlay, sure its a nice feature but annoying. These are all issues that make annoying to hang out in a town, in general.

Personally I would suggest these three changes,

1st negate negative hpr in towns, to make doing things on -hpr classes not annoying.

2rd add +1 hpr per level, and rescale -hpr on all items with warp getting another -100 hpr for example. [I know this will be tedious but I think its for the best, for progression across the entire game, since currently its very annoying late early game to early midgame, as players don't actually build around any stats and simply try and use the best gear they can find.].Hpr is not or impactful in most builds, and can often often makes some builds leave a bitter taste in your mouth as you only regain -10 to 20 hpr every 5 seconds. This is also a massive issue in and is very annoying later early game to late midgame, which often feels like its time to go broke buying pots, as your gear is rng based. [but this just may be as a pre 1.18 player] I know this may be tough but it would be a MASSIVE QoL change. [as it requires rebalncing hpr%, maybe make it impact the base hpr you gain from levels, but its also an issue legacy issue like strength and dex scaling]

Third consider maybe unnerfing hpr tomes as it feels kinda unessary, inpacting many builds outside of the ones this change is meant to nerf. [if you want to kill warp simply give it higher -hpr.] [this is only a band aid solution but the simplest.

As magic said "having 3 base hpr at level 105 is silly" expesially since hpr is a qol stat more than anything, realistically you are not going to win a bossfight simply because you get 105 extra hp every 5 seconds. There is also the fact that the enjoyability of builds can be ruined due to making builds feel unusable. It will also help with the annoying problem of reganing health when changing setups. It shouldn't be a stat that is scaled around and every item in the game shouldnt have its hpr lowered, this change will make the game a very tiny amount easier but also significantly improve player experience [simply let us have ~100 extra health regen ontop of everything else, it isnt even that strong]

Simply transferring my constructive feedback posts from the discord onto the forums.
I have 2 major suggestions in the works, one relating dungeons, the other relating a new major world event concept. [maybe also a new province idea as well]

    suggestion good
to avoid the afk issue, i'd recommend buying a house and setting it to auto-regen, you can afk there safely (no mobs) (also it can instantly regen health if you're low)
