Geyser Pit Boss Altar

I was attempting to farm the Boss Altar in Corkus with a friend today we were partied and every time I would put 8 Antennas in I would go down, but my friend wouldn't and he'd be unable to interact with the Altar. The work around we have so far is one person interacts, goes down, then the other does the /class command and re-selects their character then input their 8 Antennas and goes down ultimately wasting 8 Antennas and about 30ish seconds of time, I think to improve it would be to set an Area where if all players in a party are standing all go down then fight the boss.

Please file this as a bug report. The behavior you're describing is unintentional, and the "solution" you provide is what is meant to happen.
