World events are a good concept to add random events to Wynncraft, but it has a problem in the timing required to enter these events. For the average world events, players need to show up before the event starts and wait for the remainder of the time. These waiting times are very annoying and often make it not worth doing. While the waiting time might be worth it in annailations, the problem lies in player need to adapt to its schedule which is not always possible.

This problem has swayed people away from participating in these events and needs a fix. My proposed solution is to have an opening time frame for the events instead. When the world events are active, players can enter the area which will trigger the event and teleport to a fight. Players can team up by creating a party beforehand. This can save the time needed to wait for the world event. Players can also re-enter the active world event if they failed on the previous attempt. For the normal world events, there can be 15 minutes of active window and players will only be notified when it is active. For annailations, we can have 3 days to a week of opening, and a frequency of a month instead, and players can repeatedly challenge the boss for milestone rewards (each milestone reward can only be claimed once).

I also would like to add some variety to the world event (personal opinion, not necessary), for example:

    • Reward types: we can have world event rewards to focus on either XP, emeralds, gears, crafting materials, ingredients, or even temporary buff to the player (to help with potential hard contents). Players can choose the events that have the reward they need.

    • Difficulties: there can be rarer world events that are hard but give out more rewards. This should be explicitly mentioned before the player enters.

    • Weekly quests: each town and city can have a weekly quest to complete a world event, which is always active during the time until completed.

They're called world events because they occur in the world. They're on map. It would just send a player to a worldview (private party instance) and not teleport them, like it currently does.

World events already have ingredients, weapons, and armor you can only get from world events in that region, or those specific events.
None give crafting materials currently, and likely will not-- there's a reason they aren't part of raid loot pools anymore

I think the core idea is good; changing world events to be more lenient on when the player can start them, as opposed to needing to be there for a specific second, would help with coordinating attending them

Re-entering just won't be possible. Just slap a bit of data on the player when they begin a world event that prevents them from swapping worlds & doing it multiple times

I’m talking about the suggestion, not doing it by cheesing it, but yeah
