    At least in a way where everyone can still move the items around their inventory without using number keys

    This is possible (see skill points ui), but this is unintuitive and probably will mess with how stackable consumables work

    Shift right clicking removes quickly putting the item in the hotbar, but because the reason you'd put it in your hotbar is to use it, sounds good!

    As far as I know Shift-Right Clicking doesn’t have a unique function so I took its slot as an opportunity

    i think shift left click and shift right click has the same functionality, though most people use shift left click
