Website & Forums Add a title blacklist

Note: There might be a misunderstanding for what I'm suggesting. I am suggesting these words be banned from titles, not the entirety of a post.

There are too many hacked accounts making threads like "Find local ladies in your town - Verified Mistresses" or some "hot singles in your area" malware site bs like that. I think the following words should be blacklisted so a thread like that gets automatically deleted and/or the account gets banned or muted as a safety measure:

• Verified
• Genuine
• Authentic
• Damsel
• Mistress
• Lady
• Girl
• Woman
• Hot
• Sexy

I'm pretty sure there won't be any suggestions that will use those words in the titles for future as they're really niche for potential ones.

Of course, there might also be technical reasons for why this can't be done, which in this case... uh. idk just have mods patrol for them.

 

Not an instant ban but maybe some kind of mute that you could apply when you get your account back. Also some of these words are too generic to be blacklisted ( woman, girl, etc ... )

I'm fine with a blacklist as long as the blacklisted words are very specific. Something like "hot" and "lady" are so generic that they'll just frustrate people trying to make a thread, even "mistress" is part of an important boss' title.

 

In response to the generic words part, I chose those bc from what I've seen they're really uncommon in suggestion titles. They are likely more common in the body of a suggestion post but I don't think there will be any titles for the words I chose, and if there are there could very well be substitutes which would still get the main point across (ex. instead of saying "More Female Representation" I think "More Gender Representation" works fine as a substitute as that still has the same undertones imo).

There also might be a misunderstanding that it's for the entirety of a post when I'm only talking about titles. If it was in the body of a thread then that would be an entirely different story as those words will likely appear much more with non-malicious intent.

For the first reply: A mute could also work.

For the second reply: I don't think any titles will say "Buff Mistress of the Hive" or "Qira, Mistress of the Hive rework" when they could also just say "Buff Qira" or "Qira boss fight rework".

 

Bumping this as there's been like 7 more of these "hot singles in your area" threads since posting this.

Side note: idk why they are all even congealing in general suggestions... until now. Clearly they are trying to suggest datable NPCs in whatever town players are in. With how much 2.1 was hyped up, this is likely salted's way to showing us that in 2.2, we are able to date the Fruma Queen.

Maybe it just gets auto-reported so a mod will get notified to check it out right away. I could see plenty of those being used in an actual suggestion, but honestly there's been so many of those stupid spambots I kinda think something like this is called for.

 

I mean, its a lot more recently, and they aren't being taken down. Just autoreport posts that contain just a link maybe?
