I dont appreciate the ammount of changes that get shadow dropped without notice.
    For example:
    - Master hive merchants now require master catalysts to purchse voucher
    - Removal of dungeon scroll merchants
    - Changes to item IDs
    - New caves
    - Random changes to builds all over the map
    - Bugfixes
    - And much more stuff I dont know about YET

I appreciate these things, but what I do not like is the "go figure out what changes we made" mentality. I know some of these may not be worth noting, but some of them defenedly are.

(Rant: At this point I wouldnt even be surprised if a new mythic gets added tomorrow and I find out through seeing it on the tm for absurd prices)

I've always agreed with this being an issue, and I think a lot of other players are on the same page.

One idea I've had to fix this would to have a channel in this discord for quick announcements about these changes, posted either by a ct manager or someone like a mod/qa hybrid. Then, once there's more time, a proper changelog for the forums could be made.

There is actually a bit of a solution already in place, which is to put all the shadowchanges on the next hotfix thread. Problem with that is it's too little too late, as it could take a while to find what you are looking for. As @WithTheFish mentioned, a discord channel would be perfect as all the changes will be punctual and separate rather than being on a wall of text, so people know when their bugs are fixed or if feedback is implemented.

While I understand and partially agree with the dislike for not listing changes to items or stuff like dungeon scroll merchants being removed, minor build changes are just that. There's so many that documenting every single one and listing it down would be an absolute chore, and I don't see us ever doing that. Hell, we don't even do that for full update changelogs.

See, I understand and agree with this philosophy for, like, 80-90% of the non-public-facing changes, like typoes, changes to codebase that don't affect us as a consumer, etc.
The main issue is with things that we as players see but never hear change notes for. Like, for instance, when was Loot Symposium changed to force the mobs to drop the keys directly in your inventory? That's a really nice QoL change that would be cool to see mentioned, even if just mentioned passively in a single maintained thread.

I think I found another tiny change! The puzzle in the red meteor where you have to connect a green whire in a chip now has an indicator where your placement actually is instead of it being obscured sometimes due to the sea lanterns

unlike some changes, map changes aren't ever going to be an unpleasant surprise, either
