Game Mechanics Health Regen

    Idk if this has been said anywhere but I'm going to make it anyway just to resurface this issue
    Also I'll be posting this exact text on both the forums and discord so hi there to both of you

    The modern Mana Regen triggering every like half a second or so is cool and all but why does Health Regen still take like a full five seconds? Is there a non Dev-Time gameplay design decision reason to keep this or is this also planned on being split like its mana ID counterpart?

    Idk maybe I just really don't like the long pauses inbetween the bursts of health it feels very... empty

    hpr only regenning your health every 5s is not intuitive, which I think should be prioritized over any balancing reasons like "it makes you die much easier" which btw, is an argument to hpr numbers being broken more than anything

    Then it should be clarified that Regen ticks every 5 seconds

    I'm glad someone is bringing this up because I've always had a problem with the way regen works, especially when game so heavily implies that health regen and mana regen are meant to be sister statistics so the fact that they behave differently is silly, and it's not like constant health regen is impossible for the game to utilize because Paladins literally have it as a passive for 30 seconds after taking any damage.

    Its not that we can't do it, it's that we don't want to. One of the reasons Regen ticks every few seconds instead of constantly is to make it so mobs are able to pose a threat. Consider if your 5 thousand health you would get every 5 seconds was instead 1 thousand every second, that means that for you to die, you'd need to take more than a thousand damage in a second to counteract the regeneration. Having it put on a larger delay makes it easier for mobs to chip in their damage without reducing your health gain.

    Regen should be clarified in game so that the fact that it isn't a constant rate is easily accessible knowledge to the player
