Game Mechanics Change Roving Assassin to be useable without Vanish

Roving Assassin. Weathered’s Major ID that allows mana regen during vanish. It’s pretty powerful with many builds, and gives much more versatility in combat. I think.

However, even though it is still strong with non-vanish users, it simply cannot compete with other weapons like Cataclysm and even Nirvana.

I propose that the Major ID is changed so that it can fit Acrobat along with the other archetypes. I’m not totally sure yet how this would affect the existing ID, but I have some ideas for a new one, only being effective on Acrobat:

Nimble Escape: If you have been airborne for at least 5 seconds, gain an 80% walk speed buff for 3 seconds after touching the ground.
This could help the situations where you have to touch the ground and are left vulnerable to mobs, especially with glassy builds.

Skystriker: Gain a 10% damage boost for every 2 seconds you have been in the air. Max 30% damage, resets if you touch the ground.
Simple damage boost. The use is obvious.

Airborne Assassin: This one isn't purely Acrobat, but still putting it here. If you are airborne and invisible, you can attack without losing your invisibility. Surprise Strike does not apply during this time.
This could open doors to some really cool hybrid builds. It would also add great survivability.

These are just some thoughts, and as I stated earlier, I don’t have too many of them (besides A.A.) on merging Vanish with Acrobat. However, I believe that me and many others would appreciate anything the Wynncraft team can come up with. Any feedback/ideas are appreciated, have a nice day/night!

Edit: A lot of these ideas are to be purely suited to Acrobat. Not my intention, but it's all the ideas i have for now. Although, if Weathered's MID is changed to be archetype-specific, I do think it would perform best as a purely Acrobat-suited weapon. Weathered being Agility focused, Agility being air, and air being Acrobat's main element, etc. Just my opinion though.
Anyway, if you have a different idea that might fit all of the archetypes, please comment and i'll add it to the post.

Yeah, it’s been my favorite archetype since the 2.0 beta.

 

I have always wanted a weathered, however the MID is always an issue since only one subclass benefits from the MID, and its not really made for shadestepper either since that subclass is more heavy melee than combos.. The MID is the only reason I currently wont buy a weathered. Especially it being an air weapon. that would mean it leans toward acrobat because of agility. It would definitely benefit acrobat and trickster more of the ID was changed. .

 

So does Weathered not have anything for Shadestepper now

shadestepper already has its own mythics around its play style ie Oblivion. Acro has maybe 1 loosely tied to it mythic which is nuli

 

Assassin mythics are relatively unrestrictive so you can play any archetype with them

 

yes they are somewhat unrestrictive, however they are definitely themed. try playing acro with oblivion or inferno. or play trickster with nirvana. or shadestepper with cataclysm or nulli. dosnt really work (like at all). we also dont mention arch bc its not real

 

They are definitely unrestricted, which i’m happy about, but Weathered is still stuck in 1.20 in a way. It isn’t really good on anything, which is why the MID should be changed so that there can be a real, strong, Acrobat weapon

 

I have seen quite a few tricksters using nirvana, haven’t tried it out myself though.

also, why does everyone forget wind prison exists and makes air weapons (somewhat) viable for shadestepper

also MID idear:
weightless - killing an enemy causes you to float for .5 seconds
this would be dope for area clear as keeping u in the air doing aoe is more difficult than a boss imo

 

this would be really interesting, but maybe instead of killing something it could be like 3x your health in 1 second, as it might become obsolete during bossfights

 

I know that Wind prison is a powder special, and putting it on an air weapon(weathered) and playing shadestepper works together really well because of the huge damage boost on the next hit

 

Half of the things you listed work well, the others are usable

The thing is you cannot use poison or smoke bomb with wind prison and if you reflect/thorns something it also wastes it

i disagree. i have soloed greg AHC and orphion with mine and it works fine. roiling ruckus tho has taken its place rn
