Game Mechanics Uniquely model every mythic weapon + shiny mythics

With the new announcement of Shiny mythics, I was a little disappointed. Shiny mythics do nothing but add a stat tracker to existing mythics, and have nothing else special about them. To deal with this, let's first look at regular mythics.

Regular mythics have no special appearance. They just use regular weapon designs, which is odd for such special items. So how about we give them all a special design? Every mythic should have a unique model, which i think would help make them more memorable to people and perhaps spawn more fanart of the items, etc. While it may be a lot of work for the modelers who make them, I think it is worthwhile. Also, Kiocifer already made a bunch of custom models for Mythics, and although many have already been repurposed for festival cosmetics, I think it's fine to just use them anyway or make new models for them.

So now back to shiny mythics. To coincide with the mythic model idea, shiny mythics could work in a similar way to their obvious naming inspiration, shiny Pokémon. Shiny mythics would have a new (hopefully cooler) color palette than their normal forms, and maybe a sparkle animation? This would make them easier to flex to people and would make shiny mythics more desirable and valuable above their regular versions, which is obviously the intention of them being added, although i cannot really see this happening in their current state, at least not to a great degree.

yea mythics have needed remodels for a long time. Hopefully something like that happens in a future update or 2.03 if they are fast enough lmao

 

havent like each of the item model team made item models of each mythic in their texture packs? I know some have been used in crates but you could give those to either the shiny and the normal mythics.

 

some of them do, tho the only one confirmed is Idol being the driftwood spear

But also they should automatically pair the cool skin with the item if the cosmetic was made for the mythic.

 

You know what. I'm usually against custom skins for weapons but shiny mythics do kind of deserve their own look

I don't think mythics should have their own texture, since it would be inconsistent with other weapons and reduce the value of weapon cosmetics.
But shiny mythics should definitely be shiny!
