I'd like to start by saying that I've been loving this game, but I have not made it to end game yet so I don't know everything that is available. This is coming from an excited new player that has seen many things in the world so far that have inspired me to create this post. From what I've seen so far, it seems as though class suggestions are not taken seriously by the developers. This is very sad to me since I love suggesting content, especially classes, but hopefully the community enjoys my suggestion and maybe it could even inspire the developers in any shape or form.
From my experience so far, I have seen a lot of dark themes, but not enough "light" ones. This is why I believe a "Celestial" themed expansion would be a cool one. Inspired by angels-like creatures, the expansion follows a new character who happens to be the new class, "Bard". The Bard character witnesses the first celestial event in which divine creatures appear from the sky. This is also the first quest of the expansion where you and the Bard explore the location of the event and later find these creatures, who are there to warn the humans about a cosmic entity that is on its way to attack them and devour the world. After finishing the quest (which again, is an introduction to the expansion) you unlock the possibility to create the new class. Besides dungeons, raids, and new zones, the expansion introduces a new mobility option only available in the new zone, FLYING! (Wings may also be a possible cosmetic option for loot crates.) I also think being able to create our own dungeons, provide our own rewards, and allow others to attempt to complete the dungeons would be really cool, but I don't know if it's a possibility. It's like housing, but instead you build your own dungeon for others to do.

    • What is the Bard class?
The bard is a support-hybrid. It has three archetypes. One DPS, two SUPPORTS. It's a musical class that weaves buffs and provides utility. The class uses a harp as a weapon and is ranged. Abilities are colorful and magical. Since I am not a developer or have any experiences with talent trees, many of these abilities come from the nodes provided in the trees.

The Songweaver is a difficult-to-master buff-focused archetype that support their allies with buffs. It has a special mechanic that allows them to create new buffs by combining abilities and weaving buffs. (All buffs and debuffs last 10 seconds total. If the same ability is used twice, it will consume more mana.)

    - Sonic Wave: An arc-shaped wave that travels forward, hitting all enemies and applying "Sonic Wave" debuff. The following abilities consume the debuff and apply a new effect:
    • Sonic Wave: Does double damage and roots all enemies with the debuff.
    • Soothing Song: Enemies receive a 25% damage reduction.
    • Magic Shout: Pushes enemies away and slows them by 50%.
    - Soothing Song: It applies a healing over time effect on allies around the caster, applying "Soothing Song" buff. The following abilities consume the buff and apply a new effect:
    • Sonic Wave: When allies are hit, they receive a 25% damage buff.
    • Soothing Song: Removes the healing over time and gives an instant burst of healing.
    • Magic Shout: Combines the healing over time and mana over time effects and doubles them.
    - Magic Shout: Applies "Magic Shout" buff that restores 20% mana to allies and 50% to the caster over 10 seconds. The following abilities consume the buff and apply a new effect:
    • Sonic Wave: Consumes the buff on allies hit and doubles the mana restored to allies instantly.
    • Soothing Song: When consumed, Magic Shout restores over 3 seconds instead of 10.
    • Magic Shout: Triples the mana to use the spell, but provides an invincible status effect for 2 seconds.
    - Song of Mercy: The caster dashes to an ally's location, giving both wings that provide 50% movement speed for 3 seconds.

The Artist is the DPS archetype that is more beginner friendly. It has simple abilities that can be enhanced with nodes.

    - Sonic Wave: When used, the ability charges your weapon with 10 stacks of NOTES. When you MAIN ATTACK, you shoot giant music notes that deal more damage the more stacks you have and slow the enemies by 30%.
    - Soothing Song: Activates a magical aura around the caster that slowly drains your mana. While on, the aura doubles the stacks of NOTES you can have to 20, increases your damage and reduces the defenses of enemies inside the aura.
    - Magic Shout: Unleashes an explosion of sound that damages enemies and fears them.
    - Song of Mercy: Gain 80% movement speed and leave a trail of inspiring notes that allies can pick up and receive 40% movement speed.
The Virtuoso is the second support and the last archetype. It's another beginner friendly class that can support allies with magical songs. It's a class that is mostly meant to be played with others.

    - Song of War: Inspire allies with your song and send our a wave of colorful music notes that bounce between enemies, dealing damage and applying a mark that can be consumed by your or allies' attacks, dealing double damage. (A Virtuoso talent node makes your main attacks chain between enemies, also consuming the marks)
    - Song of Joy: A wave of music pulses from within you, healing allies and applying a movement speed buff of 30%. Can be increased to heal more the lower health an ally is.(With a talent node)
    - Song of Wealth: Increases the combat exp you and your allies get by 25% for 5 seconds.
    - Song of Mercy: Target the ground to save allies from death, providing them with an invincible status effect lasting for 1 second. If damage is prevented, a field of inspirational music lingers on the ground, healing allies.

first of all.... black text, we who use dark theme cant see lol. but thats ok.

Actual first of all, i would like to say, yay nice idea, its better than most first suggestions and i agree mostly with what you said in the beginning like having more player generated content (make your dungeons and stuff) but i dont think that would be easy to code.

Now my criticism here is not intended to be mean or hurtful, i just want to show what might be unreasonable in a class suggestion according to the five we have now.

    1. Not really a criticism but the thing is, wynncraft is actually very singleplayer focused. Most of its quests are designed for singleplayer and most people dont have friends to play dungeons ans stuff with. ofc raids are multiplayer and stuff like ??? need more than one person but what im saying is that the "support" class isnt really needed atm because warrior and archer shred everything on their own. Now i would love for a support class to be viable though so maybe if this was added (very low chance) all other classes could be nerfed and we could have a multiplayer game? (unlikely to happen)

    2. Flying? sorry i went back there and saw this and I just wanted to say: what kind of flight? if your talking about literal creative mode flight this may be a little... uh speedy and unbalanced but as long as the flight is disabled in combat it might be fair.

    3. Now i wont get too critical here but can we have some more statistics? whats the range of the spells? if you have a vague idea of the damage how much would it be? mana costs?

    4. Invincibility... in the late/endgame it is possible to cycle spells for extremely low costs, essentiallly making one invincible forever. You would either need a controllable cooldown (maybe shift + the spell to activate invincibility on cooldown) or just change it completely.

    5. Holy crack the mana regen abilities are insane! 50% mana over 3 seconds?! what the hail!? that may be a little too strong combined with 60 or 70 mana regen builds in the endgame. literally music arcanist

    6. in my opinion, more variety and a key gimmick for each archetype would have made this post much better, but again like i said, one of the better first suggestions and i like it in general!

    here before deusphage
can you make it so that the black text is colorless? using dark theme so pretty hard to read
also i suggest you make archetype-less spells first then add archetype abilities on top because wynncraft's ability tree is designed that way and you can mix archetypes to a degree
    also add poll

No worries about being mean! Be as mean as you want lmao. And I fixed the black, I think. Sorry about that. Didn't even know there was dark theme.

This suggestion post definitely comes from someone inexperienced at the full game of Wynncraft. I just felt inspired and felt like a Bard class could fit and stay on theme. It's unfortunate to hear about the lack of multiplayer, or group content, but maybe one day if that's changed a Bard class would be great. The reason I didn't add any stats to the skills is because I have no idea how to balance a game or a class. I'd leave that to the devs to figure out lmao.

The flying suggestion was something that I thought of because I had previously played a server that had some kind of flying. It wasn't like in creative, it was more balanced for sure. I can't remember anything about it unfortunately, I just remember it was cool. It would just be used as a transportation method to fly from one zone to another in this new expansion (would be set in a sky-themed zone, so it makes sense to fly from each point).

The invincibility thing is a game changer for sure. I think I remember seeing one of the classes had something like that. The only way I balanced this class suggestion is by having mana costs be doubled when you want to use an empowered ability (as in when you use the same ability twice) so you can't spam it. A lot of my idea with this was managing mana because everything costs a lot, which is why you can restore a lot of mana with magic shout. But again, I know nothing about balancing. :'(

    Fixed it! Sorry.
I also tried to do that at first when I noticed what I was writing, but then I confused myself and it was 5 am when I wrote and posted this lmao. In my head the abilities sort of worked the same, but change what they do when you select those archetype specific nodes. I wasn't clear on that.
    And what kind of poll?

    Still in black text.
    Pretty much a yes/no poll.

While this honestly seems like a pretty cool concept, unfortunately, I will say this before deusphage can: "[The CT] doesn't add classes based on suggestions." Who knows tho tbh, maybe one of them will like this idea and some devs also work on it as well.

    1) We don't take class suggestions
    2) Play more of the game first. There is a lot of light stuff.

Wth ;-; I tried to change it. How do I do it? I must have done it wrong.

Also thank you everyone for your opinions. It's okay if you don't like it, even if class suggestions aren't taken, inspiration can't be stopped, and if I could inspire even one little thing then that's great!

Like, we just don't. I'm not here to go "I hate your idea your idea sucks," I'm trying to save you the trouble of thinking that this is going to have a chance of being added. Making fan made classes is perfectly fine - maybe this isn't the best place for it but that's a different story - but we just don't look for new classes to add based on a random player's idea

Yeah..? I'm just saying we don't add new classes based on a small player idea, not that we don't take suggestions
    ________________________________
It doesn't matter how I feel, I'm not providing my opinion here, I'm literally just stating that we don't add new classes based on suggestions. We have added one class since wynncraft's initial 4, which was Shaman, we aren't just adding a bunch of classes because the idea might have some merit
