Something I've sadly come to notice with Wynn lately is that there is no way to collect 1 of every item due to the limited ingame storage space. You only have alternate classes, the bank, and 1 misc bucket to store all of your items in. This really restricts completionists from collecting items, so today I'm going to suggest an alternative method.

In Cinfras, there would be a museum. Inside the museum there would be a curator, who requests that the player donate items to the museum to help grow it and make it famous. The museum starts out as a small, run-down old building, but grows even larger and more impressive as you donate.

Each player has their own separate museum that they can fill up. They cannot invite people over, but there is still a way to show people what items you've collected (which i will bring up later).

    Here's what you can donate:
    Any helmet
    Any chestplate
    Any leggings
    Any boots
    Any ring
    Any bracelet
    Any necklace
    Any wand
    Any spear
    Any relik
    Any bow
    Any dagger
    Any ingredient
    Any material
Any currency (E.G Emeralds, Dungeon mats/frags, Zhight currency, Ability shards, scrap, Pig meat, etc)
    Any powder
    Any potion/consumable
    Any scroll
    Any tool
    Any item from secret discoveries
    Any dungeon key

There's probably other types of items that I'm missing
Limited time event items are not included
Quest items are also not included
Tomes are not included because I think they're too random for this type of thing

Donating an item would lock it into the museum forever with no way for you to get it back, and thus there would be a disclaimer before donating an item.

Any tier of item can be donated, but Mythics are separate from the overall count and instead can be used to unlock bonuses for the museum.

Here's what you can unlock via progression:
    0% Completion: Default museum
1% Completion: The museum gets better lighting
2.5% Completion: The museum gets a janitor
5% Completion: The museum gets better wallpaper
7.5% Completion: The museum installs a Corkian vending machine that grants some new script potions
10% Completion: The museum expands + you unlock the ability to start donating Potions/consumables and Gathering Tools
15% Completion: The museum installs bathrooms
20% Completion: A new drink is added to the vending machine
25% Completion: A small celebration is held and you are given the ability to buy a Compendium for your Housing Plot (explained later). The curator is also finally able to change out of his scruffy outfit.
30% Completion: A Guest's Lounge is installed in the museum, in which familiar characters can appear. Every day, a random set of 3 NPCs are chosen to make an appearance in the lounge. These include new characters, as well as characters from quests you've completed.
35% Completion: Fancy quartz pillars are added to the museum
40% Completion: The old museum wallpaper is removed and replaced with quartz to match the new pillars
45% Completion: The Curator adds a history section to the museum, featuring new lore and some fun exhibits
50% Completion: A celebration is held once again, and an art gallery branch is added to the museum. The Art gallery has paintings of various areas, and looking at the paintings teleports you to a copy of a corresponding Guild War arena so that you can view its build without starting a war.
55% Completion: Another new drink is added to the vending machine
60% Completion: The lobby and lounge are decorated some more
65% Completion: Another new branch is added, this one being a Library. In the Library, you can read books from any secret discovery or quest you've completed. You can also donate the completed copy of Finding Meaning from The Canary Calls to the museum to add it there, although this is not required for 100% museum completion.
70% Completion: The history section of the museum gains new content
75% Completion: Another celebration is held, and the first lobby room gets redesigned into something more extravagant. The Museum is becoming known worldwide.
80% Completion: Golden embellishments are added in some places around the museum
85% Completion: One final drink is added to the vending machine
90% Completion: The Curator receives a letter informing him that someone very special will visit the museum
95% Completion: A special visit from Siegfried
100% Completion: A huge celebration is held, a large trophy is placed in the lobby room of the museum, and decorative blue banners are put up to mark your completion. 1 final new room opens, containing an ancient totem. Interacting with the totem grants a 1.5x XP boost for an hour, with a 5 hour cooldown. It is worth noting that the museum's progress saves between classes, so this is handy for levelling up other classes. (the totem cannot be used on Ironman classes)

Bonus categories that count towards 100% completion but have their own unlocks:

    Potions/consumables
25% Completion: A new bar and cafe branch is added, serving more new drinks and consumables. The vending machine is moved there.
50% Completion: More drinks and consumables are added
75% Completion: More drinks and consumables are added
100% Completion: More drinks and consumables are added and decorative blue banners are added

    Gathering Tools
1 Tool donated: A new Menagerie branch is opened
25% Axes donated: Gathering spots are added to the Menagerie for Oak, Birch, and Willow.
50% Axes donated: Gathering spots are added for Acacia, Spruce, and Jungle
75% Axes donated: Gathering spots are added for Dark, Light, and Pine
100% Axes donated: Gathering spots are added for Avo and Sky. Dernic is added once you donate 1 Dernic wood/paper to the museum.
25% Pickaxes donated: Gathering spots are added for Copper, Granite, and Gold.
50% Pickaxes donated: Gathering spots are added for Sandstone, Iron, and Silver
75% Pickaxes donated: Gathering spots are added for Cobalt, Kanderstone, and Diamond
100% Pickaxes donated: Gathering spots are added for Molten and Voidstone. Dernic is added once you donate 1 Dernic ingot/gem to the museum.
25% Scythes donated: Gathering spots are added for Wheat, Barley, and Oats
50% Scythes donated: Gathering spots are added for Malt, Hops, and Rye
75% Scythes donated: Gathering spots are added for Millet, Decay root, and Rice
100% Scythes donated: Gathering spots are added for Sorghum and Hemp. Dernic seed is added once you donate 1 Dernic string/grain to the museum.
25% Fishing rods donated: Gathering spots are added for Gudgeon, Trout, and Salmon
50% Fishing rods donated: Gathering spots are added for Carp, Icefish, and Piranha
75% Fishing rods donated: Gathering spots are added for Koi, Gylia fish, and Bass
100% Fishing rods donated: Gathering spots are added for Molten Eel and Starfish. Dernic Fish is added once you donate 1 Dernic meat/oil to the museum.

Now here's what you get for donating Mythics. Mythics do not count toward the 100%, but grant extra bonuses instead. Every donation past the first one gradually increases the Totem's XP bonus, and once all mythics are donated, you get 2x XP for 3 hours from the totem.
1 Mythic: Reliquary branch opened. It has 51 display cases, 1 for each Mythic. They are added as you obtain them.
11 Mythics: Incredibly good potion added to the bar
21 Mythics: Lore tablets are added to each Mythic case
31 Mythics: Price decrease on the incredibly good potion
    41 Mythics: Another price decrease
51 Mythics: All the blue banners are replaced with purple banners. Purple decorations are added around the museum. The percentage hologram on your Compendium is changed to purple. You unlock access to Mythic Box housing furniture. You are given a special Helmet cosmetic that changes your head to Mythic box. Massive flexing rights.

Now I'll mention the Compendium. The Compendium is a housing furniture item that takes the form of a large book. Other players visiting your Housing Plot may open it to check out what items you have, and the book has a hologram above it displaying your completion percentage.

Now of course, this would probably be a nightmare to add to the game. But it would be cool. Also, this is just a concept, so don't expect any of this to be added to the game ever.

Who collects every item in game? Lol

Besides that, I feel that it would be better to have actual relics/specimens that players can collect that are apart of the lore/world building. Just like in an actual museum. Not that weapons, armor, etc. couldn’t be apart of it, just something more flavorful that adds more to the lore. It also reminds me of that museum in Animal Crossing where you collect fossils and animals.

I honestly don't see a reason for this to not be added. 2 things I would like to add on tho:
    1. I wouldn't really put in in Cinfras because 1: this seems to be a pretty massive thing, and the city of Cinfras is ginormous. I think a better thing would be a separate Housing Island that is automatically gifted to you once you reach something like Lv 40 and start to spend time in Gavel. It also gives some more leeway towards Housing canon, so yea there's that.

    2. I think it would also be cool if NPCs you visited and interacted with appeared in your museum for general chit chat. It definitely would be nice to expand on these characters.

for #1 the museum would not actually be in the overworld, there would be a door that you enter to teleport to your museum instance

as for #2 thats already in the suggestion lol

    1. I mean yea, but it still kinda makes Cinfras feel a bit too cluttered, even if the actual stuff inside is much larger. I think it still works better as a separate housing island for you instead,

the idea seems cool, but at the same time it's kind of always wrong to give actual meaningful rewards for this type of extreme grind, and it's hugely impractical yet high effort content, for very few people. some kind of proper in-game item guide that tracks if you've ever obtained things might end up more practical than this, and a museum of sorts might be more appropriate for maybe a mob almanac-style thing like @Dr Zed said

I like the idea of a museum, but I think the types of items you donate should be completely different.
If they're items you can buy from the tm or other players, it just becomes a game of how rich you are and how much money you're willing to throw away.
And I don't know too much about wynncraft's economy, but I don't think permanently locking out a bunch of items, especially mythics, is a good idea.

Instead quests (maybe only important ones) could be given rewards that have the sole purpose of being donated. Maybe secret discoveries and completing raids for the first time could also give these kinds of rewards. There could be some for guild related stuff, like participating in wars, for reaching proffession level milestones, combat 106, or participating in the yearly events.
practically you could receive some commemorative rewards for interacting with different aspects of wynncraft, which you could then display in a museum. Then, it might be better to let other people visit it to see what kinds of achievements you've done in wynncraft. And maybe you could get copies of these items to display in your housing if you're especially proud of something.

As for the rewards, I like those, it would be cool to visibly see your progress in the state of the museum, as well as the all mythics reward, even though that doesn't fit with my suggestion.
For the "incredibly good potion" you never described what it does, but it can't be too strong, as it would further increase the strength difference between casual players and tryhards, making it more difficult to balance content around both groups.
I don't know much about professions, but I imagine gathering spot rewards would obsolete the guild changes that boost professions, and rewarding them based on gathering tool donations makes them basically free (less than 12 le + a few dungeon runs, and 1 of each dernic material)

I also like @Dr Zed 's idea. Though I don't know how collecting specimens would work, it might work if implemented well.
