Game Mechanics (Draft) Class Suggestion: Shielder

Do note that this is an incomplete suggestion and may not ever be completed because I am bad at writing and I have other things to do
Also Warrior filled too much of the defense class, it's hard to think of unique stuff that's not already in Warrior

Name: Shielder/Guardian
Weapon: Shield
Crafted with woodworking (or armoring) using ingots and wood.

Stats:
Damage 2
Defence 6
Range 2
Spells 3

Melee:
Melee attacks are performed with right click to respect that Minecraft shields are used with right click. With a normal right click, a simple attack will be performed. If shift is pressed as well, the player will then enter a defensive stance. The max duration of the defensive stance is determined by attack speed, with slower being longer. The defensive stance can be cancelled with another right click, which performs a sweep attack.

Archetypes:
Left: Warden
Has self-heal and absorption abilities, and abilities based on health loss.

Middle: Whelmer
Has spell gimmick abilities, and abilities based on the type of damage received and spells cast.

Right: Bastion
Has resistance increase abilities, and abilities based on hits taken.

Abilities:

LRL Spell: Entice
Tree Location: First
Description: Enemies targetting allies within a circle will instead target the player, and performs an attack around the player.
Mana Cost: 30
Total Damage: Damage + Fire
Range: 2 Blocks
Area of Effect: 5 Blocks

LLL Spell: Shield Surf
Tree Location: Second
Description: The player will charge forward at a high speed, damaging enemies in the range of travel.
Mana Cost: 25
Total Damage: Damage + Air
Range: 1 Block

LRR Spell: Crush
Tree Location: Left
Description: The player gains a one time jump boost, and does a strong AoE attack on next attack or landing.
Mana Cost: 40
Total Damage: Damage + Earth
Range: 4 Blocks
Effect: ~5 Blocks Jump Boost (Single Time)

LLR Spell: Fortify
Tree Location: Right
Description: The player enters a defensive stance where the resistance is increased with a duration, and the player becomes immobile. The defensive stance can be cancelled with a right click, which performs a stronger sweep attack with higher range.
Mana Cost: 80
Total Damage: Damage + Fire + Earth
Effect: +50% Resistance Boost to Self
Duration: 5s
Range: 3 Blocks

Most ideas don't make it into the game anyways as the criteria seems to be if it is trivial to add or if it is liked by Salted
