Game Design CGG Key Guardians Need Damage Nerfing (Confirmed!)

CGG Key Guardians spawns in very specific locations and they cannot move, but they have shotgun attacks. I'm not talking about the shotgun part, but I am talking about the projectile damage they deal. Accidentally walk by a CGG Key Guardian? Instadeath. Get hit by even just one of its projectiles? You lose like half of your HP. Even a tanky 100k EHP build can get one shotted at point blank range. This mob is like heavy melee but has range. Why does it hit so hard???

Seriously, I'm scared af even seeing these guys. Go ahead call me skill issue but when it can literally kill almost any build in one shot as a fricken key guardian, it needs damage nerfing.

There might be even more CGG Key Guardian nodes here than shown...

I feel like some CT decided to troll and add an extra digit to its damage value just cause. Or maybe it's a typo, I don't know. Please inform me how this decision was made to make it deal so much damage.

lunaticlady (gm who made the guardian) seems pretty adamant about keeping them like this but maybe that can change

Seriously though, I've tested damage and it deals upwards of 80k per shot- Ive died to these in my lootruns more times than i'd like to admit.

They are probably designed to fire slowly but deal a lot of damage... honstly i would not be surprised if they accidentally added a '0' to the end of their damage numbers

orr... y know this was planned as a troll. Particularly for people like you, if one spawned behind you in your HIC playthrough without warning...

 

There have been a few times where I've just died instantly for no reason and I think it's because of them.

 

Agreed. It's basically just an RNG "you have died" mob, you either see it and kill it, or you don't see it and it oneshots you with no warning.

Tbh I think getting one shot is kinda funny. There should be a Easter egg mob that has the same damage values.
