People have been hounding for crafted major ids for so long that I finally got this idea.

    Crafted Qualities.

Basically, a crafted item that reaches a certain threshold for stats gains a quality that endures as long as the item retains those stats.

    Example: the Weightless quality

If a crafted item has, say, minimum of 20% air defence and 15 agility then it gains the Weightless quality. Much like the major id, Weightless would provide fall damage immunity as long as those minimums are reached. Meaning once an items durability drains enough, the quality would disappear.

If gone about properly, this could also lock qualities to certain recipes as it would be simply unattainable otherwise.

    Better than major id ingredients?

Major Id's sound a lot better to be honest, simply put, it's far simpler and will get less hate upon being added. Arguably the best place for players to be is in game, rather than complaining on the forums / discord / reddit.
One thing I don't like about crafted items (especially armor and accessories) is they are inconsistent due to durability, and simply losing something like Weightless, say mid Greg fight could literally end some of my builds. (Specifically shaman, because it has a pretty hard to use movement spell).
And given the specific requirements, there's going to be a lot more hatred for crafting due to more RNG being introduced, especially on builds going for extreme min-maxing.
It just sounds like adding something complicated for the sake of it being complicated, e.g. a current example: random crafted weapon attack speed.
Crafting is already a pain to level up, it doesn't need to be a pain to craft items even more than it is currently. (Looking at you 0.02% to 0.05% drop chance ingredients, and 1% tier 3 material drop rates).

Though if I were to add something to this idea, make the major Id's influenced by the maximum stats of the item, not the current stats (i.e. at less than 50% durability). Losing a major Id mid fight ruins even more consistency in gameplay.

stats on a crafted item only start going down after the durability reached halfway and in raids there are blacksmiths to repair items every buff room.
unless the crafted has very low dura to begin with that isn't likely to happen.

as for the suggestion, idk it would be hard to decide where that line of requirements would need to be at to get it balanced.

I was thinking of major ID set ingredients, like if you have x ingredient set in a specific configuration you can get major ids (with limitations)

I know, I use crafted weapons all the time. Personally I see major IDs appearing on armour and accessories more than weapons if this were to be added. Armour can be drained really quickly by certain mobs and bosses, making it just really annoying to use, not to mention it loses durability to walking for some reason.
