Maro Peaks is an area in the ocean that almost no one goes to outside of the required quests (Zight, Reincarnation, and ToL). While this is something that a lot of other areas face, Maro is unique in being a whole area that requires you to always be wearing a piece of armor, namely the climbing helmet.

While there are areas that require you to wear a piece of armor to access it, or require you to complete a quest, no areas other than Maro peaks are one that requires you to complete a quest to wear the piece of armor, and even areas that require a certain piece of armor are usually only needed for certain quests.

My suggestion would to add a short quest around level 60-65, of which is titled "Maro Climbing Lessons". This quest's purpose would give a player a better introduction to the Maro Peaks, and some of the story behind it other than the snippets given through other quests. While this quest would still require the climbing helmet, and players can still explore the peaks before the quest using the climbing helmet, completing the quest would give players a "permit to climb" pass, allowing them to be able to climb without the use of a climbing helmet.

For the quest itself, perhaps have the player climb to the top of the Maro Peaks to get to the flower there. It's a nice spot not a lot of people go to, and being able to climb to the top of the peaks should be evidence enough that a person knows what they are doing when climbing.

The addition of this small quest would lead to more players being more willing to explore the Maro peaks, other than the few times that they are required to go due to quests. It wouldn't need to be a huge quest, but not all quests need to be highly story-driven.

One idea on how this quest could go would be that it is a level 47 quest where you see an advertisement in Nesaak for climbing lessons at Maro Peaks, only costing 2 EB, so you go to Nemract, meet up with your climbing coach, pay the 2 EB, and the two of you get on a boat and go to Maro Peaks. On the way there, you tell them that you already have a climbing helmet, and they ask to take a look at it. They then say that the helmet looks old, and give you a "Reinforced Climbing Helmet". Right after that, the two of you arrive at Maro Peaks, and the coach asks you to do a few climbs across different parts of the Peaks. The coach then tells you that you are doing very well, and tells you that you are ready to try a more advanced climb. They proceed to demonstrate the climb, but halfway through, some rocks shift, and they get stuck. You would then have to climb up there using a unique parkour mechanic where you go right up to the wall and right click particles to raise yourself up, but you have to create your own route, since there wouldn't be a set one. After you get up and save the coach, they compliment you, saying that you are a quick learner, and that you deserve to be a certified climber. The quest then completes, giving you a climbing certificate, allowing you to climb Maro Peaks without the helmet(and maybe also a special eco cave in the ice canyon that uses the same type of parkour?), and grants 55000 xp.
Note: If this were to be implemented, Maro Peaks would still be accessible by people with a Climbing Helmet who didn't want to, or couldn't, do the quest, so that ToL and Reincarnation wouldn't be locked behind more quests.

Better option is to Delete Maro Peaks!!!!
It has horrible level design that is made even worse by the enemies with Heavy Push everywhere. Maro Peaks also has one of the unarguably worse builds ever. The caves in the interior are just exclusively flat stone with random ores splattered. It needs a rework or it needs to go.

    A) They don't have Heavy Push, just normal Push, whose range is basically limited to "are you on the bridges with rails or not"
    B) Kill the mobs and they won't respawn

I'm with you that the area could use a rework, but everyone complaining about the push mobs seems to forget that they only target you if you're already within their push range, they only show up on bridges that you can't be pushed into the water from, excepting weird clipping glitches that I have never once been able to recreate despite a cumulative 20 HOURS of attempts, and never respawn til you leave the area if you kill them. It isn't tough.

(I'm not really for deleting Maro peaks, I think it has a lot of potential as a unique area and just needs a good polish)
