Game Mechanics Replacements for Blood Pact

Blood Pact isn't very useful.

This is my (I think) 3rd iteration of a rework that I thought I'd share.
I think this would fit with the Fallen playstyle while adding a safety net for players like how many have suggested Second Chance be a Fallen ability.

Unfettered
When you reach max Corrupted, lose ties with your mortal body and gain the power of a servant of the Corruption. Be Warned: mercy is not granted to those who prove unworthy.
+ 100% damage reduction
+ knockback immunity
+ large amount of walk speed
+ large damage boost
The ability would last around 5 seconds and would kill you if you failed to kill a mob while it was active.

I realized I worded that like a major id... oh well

IMO cool version:
Starvation:
killing a mob while corrupted will temporarily increase your defense and strength stats by one per 1 mob killed (stacks up to 20 points total for both)

 

All good except for the part where you get insta killed if you can’t kill something in time.
Instead, if you don’t do enough damage (probably around 50000 damage maybe?) in the time frame you would die.
