Having hero beta doesn't give you an in-game advantage, even if nobody leaked it and everything in the beta was under wraps it wouldn't be pay-to-win.

imagine if a mythic gets hard buffed, say idk stardew
those with hero beta access can invest in stardew and sell it after the update drops for a profit

 

??? If an item gets buffed that buff is public, and items and progress from Beta does not transfer to the main server

There's a whole forum post with every single item change somewhere, and all you have to do is like, ask a question in hero beta chat about an item and you'll get answers 9 times out of 10

and anyways this is in a scenario where everything didn't get leaked
