    Hello everyone.

Those who are playing Wynncraft for more than a year probably realised, that the map often changes between updates. For the better, practically every time, but there's just something awesome about walking through the old Detlas, or Ragni, or Lexdale... Seeing the old Zight Island, Skien Island (which was funnily primitive compared to what we have now). And of course, the old Cinfras and much more.

When the map was updated we lost access to these nostalgic places forever. I didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but as the time goes, some of us definitely dream of the time, when we were all younger and spent hours at certain spots, grinding or trading with others. Doing quests like Sister City or Suspended Flowers, or perhaps raiding the Animal dungeon.

This led to some questionable acts. Some players decided to use a modded client to download the map, so they can experience this feeling when it gets replaced by the new (and better) one. We all know that Wynncraft staff doesn't want people to download the map, that many people worked on for many years, but the thing is, the map-downloading clients are often untraceable and people will always do it, even though they don't have any malicious intentions.

This situation benefits no one. The map is getting downloaded, while the downloads are often incomplete and scattered all over the internet. Those who download the map will go into spectator game mode and see things, they shouldn't have seen (and didn't even download the map for).

So what am I proposing? I know that hosting servers is expensive and the group of veterans wanting to check out the old map just for nostalgia isn't that big. So how about reserving one server (I mean world, I just suppose they're hosted separately) for ~50 people, that would host one of the old maps, let's say a map before the Gavel update. After a week, the map would be replaced with a newer version, which would also stay for a week. When the "Nostalgia" server would reach the second-to-latest version, it would host the oldest backup of the world again the next week. This cycle would continue indefinitely (or as long as people would show interest in visiting these older versions of the world). The nostalgic world would have separate inventory/bank/soul points, no quests (I know that maintenance of such things requires manpower, which is scarce) and only the mechanics, that wouldn't need too much work to reintroduce into them. By doing this, you would also keep absolute control over what parts of the world can players see – nobody will be able to go into the spectator game mode and fly everywhere like this.

You can even make this world accessible only for people with the VIP rank and above if you want to cover the costs of hosting another server. I'm pretty sure that there are many people without a rank, who wouldn't hesitate to spend a few bucks to get that nostalgic experience.

Thank you for reading this all. I'm looking forward to your answers.

TL;DR: Make old versions of the world accessible so people don't feel the need to download them illegally while allowing them to experience a lot of nostalgia.

I remember the 3-way parkour in the first stage. I had a bad computer back then and that part was impossible for me, because the growth checks performed on all the leaf blocks in that area made my gameplay too laggy to do parkour. I had a friend who took my animal dungeons keys and some emeralds for the work, run through the dungeon over and over again and then gave me the same amount of Zombie keys.

Ah, the time of key merchants and getting the key to the next dungeon as a reward... good times.
