Game Mechanics Change the base damages of Spears and Daggers.

    Warrior is in a really bad spot right now because it can deal NO melee damage and somewhat not-so-bad spell damage.

    Assassin is godtier, having both insane melee dmg and insane spell dmg, combined with really decent tankiness.

    I suggest to basically change the base damages of assassin and warrior with each other. For example, instead of an endgame melee spear having 220-300 dmg, it would have 400-480, while assassin going down from 400-480 to 220-300

    Assassin has a 80% damage buff so it makes up for it, maybe with a slight rework. Assassin damage multipliers could be increased to keep his spell damage the same as well.

    Warrior having the 2nd lowest base damage just sucks for warrior overall. It is a frontline so atleast it could melee the enemy but not even that is possible sadly...


    This change would make melee assassin less powerful while making warrior somewhat viable. It would still have less damage than shaman/archer melee, but with his own tankiness as well, it can ATLEAST do something.

    Assassin would still be strong because vanish + melee is already absurdly strong and his spells are already insanely insanely strong soooo... Yeah




    As a result, i think assassin weapon damages should go from 100% to 60-65% while increasing spell damages by 60% to keep the spell damages the same(or slightly higher)


    Warrior base damage should go from 100% to around 160-180% as well, while nerfing his spells from 100% to maybe 40-50% to keep his spell damage the same/lower.





    Or just an overall class rework maybe?

    As a 4 years experienced warrior player yeah.. warrior is a joke for melee fights its a frontline class but its bad at melee.
    As you said assaasin outclasses warrior in almost every way. Some change like that would be really really good.

    Yes melee warrior isnt great while melee assassin is busted, but this can be fixed much easier if they just lower vanish's damage boost (to like 40%) and buff its spell's % damage so the spell damage remains the same, while war scream could need a buff to 30% self damage and keep it at 10% ally damage. This would make warscream worth considering over bash buff for spell builds and also help melee warrior's dps.



    Buff wise it would then be:

    40% - Assassin - Vanish - Self Buff
    35% - Shaman - Totem - Self Buff
    30% - Warrior - War Scream - Self buff

    15% - Shaman - Totem - Ally Buff
    10% - Warrior - War Scream - Ally buff

    I think warrior would require a better buff than that to be somewhat viable

    Isn't Alka Tierstack Warrior like very good melee option? I think Warrior is in a good spot rn. People play Warrior in Raids and Warrior Mythic prices are pretty high. The IM's gave Warrior extra love by adding Warrior only Major ID's and Warrior is actually not that bad in lootrunning (Idol).

    Also why should the most tankiest class of all classes be able to do more damage?

    I don't know, I actually really love Warrior in the state it's in. My only complaint is that there's no transparency in game regarding how the bash buff works, and apparently it gets overridden by the war scream buff, which is also just kinda stupid because if you accidentally war scream, you have to wait 3+ minutes for that to go away, supposedly. I'm not even sure if anything in the vanilla game explains that the bash buff exists, or if it does at all.

    I don't really think Assassin is broken either. I mean, sure you have Cataclysm, but that also has a major drawback so I think it's pretty okay. If you don't vanish between every spell cast, your damage is okay, but not like ridiculously fantastic, and I don't think the class should rely on using vanish every other spell cast, so I think it's unfair to change the base damages strictly due to vanish.

    I can't speak much on the melee side of things, as I don't ever use melee builds. However, every class has competitive damage in spell builds, and definitely enough to easily breeze through any content in the game with no struggle whatsoever. I don't see a big need for much change. Again, I can't speak regarding melee, so maybe there is something there that is not performing well

    Spell warrior is perfectly viable and melee warrior's main issue is that it has a single non mythic tierstack weapon which is two elemental (less effective armour powders), very tanky (low base damage) and rarity "rare" (even lower base damage).
    The suggested war scream change would make war scream viable in spell warrior and help melee warrior a bit (enough to make mythic melee warrior as good as non mythic melee shaman which is fine considering it has much higher base defence. It still wouldn't be anywhere near aftershock btw, even when both have the same ehp, aftershock stays at much higher ehp sustain and dps). The issue with non-mythic melee warrior just is its weapon pool then.

    - Alka is strictly worse than aftershock (ehp, ehp sustain, raw hp, raw hp sustain, ally heals, ally damage buff, unboosted dps, boosted dps, boosting others with courage)
    - Alka tierstack isnt tanky
    - When powdering your apoc build and your apoc, you get higher damage than alka
    - Alka price only is high because it's decent in big wars where you go for full glass cannon ETA (worse than assassin but apparently big warring guilds are forgetting about vanish's 80% damage boost)
    - Mythic spell warrior has no problems, this thread is about melee and maybe non mythic spell warrior

    That really isn't true.

    It's supposed to be like this:
    1. Assassin and Shaman
    2. Warrior and Archer
    3. Mage
    When comparing mythic spell warrior to other classes using spell builds with mythics, warrior is perfectly fine.


    And about aftershock: I already said many times, I'm fine with it having higher damage. But it shouldn't have higher raw hp + ehp + raw hp sustain + ehp sustain.

    No.
    Yes, warrior really does deal little damage, but it's meant to be that way. Warrior having more damage than Assassin will make it very VERY weird as a class, and warrior is, as I said, supposed to be that way. Warrior is the tank while Assassin is the melee damage-dealer.
    No, I don't have an end-game Warrior or Assassin, but I do know that they all have some spells that deal damage, and the fact that Assassin deals much more damage than Warrior using its spells.
    You said Assassin is god-tier? Well it does technically have the shortest range in-game so maybe if you get up close then yes but getting up close might prove to be a problem unless you're using vanish
    Also, balancing everything is WAY too much work for the item teams. like, imagine having to re-code and re-balance every warrior/assassin item in the game. I've done a fair amount of balancing thanks to my forum game (Southern Earth), and that isn't even close to Wynncraft's scale. This all seems like un-needed work to me, when you could just maybe buff the Uppercut spell a bit or something.

    Overall, I do think that Warrior IS kind of weak in today's standards, but I don't think it should be buffed to dealing more damage than the Assassin. That would be too much work and make little sense.

    I disagree with the ranking. In my eyes, the way it should be is in terms of dmg (and it’s kinda close to this ig)
    1. Assassin and archer
    2 shaman
    3 warrior
    4 mage

    Archer and assassin are the main dmg dealers
    shaman is already great at Cc so dmg shouldn’tbe god tier, but still be good cause very glassy (tho Cci wrecks it, but that’s a dif problem).
    Warrior is a high ehp class so it shouldn’t have amazing dmg at the same time (tho still should have decent dmg)
    Mage is supposed to be a support with low dmg, so it should be at the bottom

    as I said tho this is just how I see it should be. Could be completely off
