Website & Forums Wynncraft Forums Autocapitalizing Titles [56 Votes, 100% Approval]

Simple thing:
Basically, the forums autocapitalizes the first letter of every word in a title, but it overrides what you write (sometimes, you want to express anger with more caps, or a more relaxed thread with less, or more likely, you want to put in an acronym that the forums makes unreadable in titles because it isn't capitalized). It also affects other stuff (it capitalizes in some places it should and some places it shouldn't), for example, every time you use 'on', 'and', 'or', or 'if' in a title (all of which are words that shouldn't be capitalized in a title), they get capitalized. Also, the first words inside of or after parentheses, brackets, curly brackets, & asterisks aren't capitalized (Thank you for the reminder, @Sir_Doomed)

I know, I know, this is the smallest thing to get annoyed about and probably the least consequential suggestion ever submitted, but could we get a user setting? or a thread setting? or anything to let us have custom capitalization on titles?

It doesn't even need to be totally customizable! Could we maybe just change what words do and don't get capitalized and how? add certain words 'on', 'and', 'or', etc. to a list of words that aren't capitalized, and add certain common acronyms to capitalization ('TCC' gets written as 'Tcc' in forums titles, 'NotG' is written as 'Notg', 'MR/MS/LR/LS' is written as 'Mr/Ms/Lr/Ls')

Also, bring back the old default theme. I should not be having to use 25 Days of Craftmas in June.

 

Yes. I get so angry over title capitalisation that the idea of even suggesting this eluded me.

 

This is completely inconsiquential and will likely never have an effect on anything.

In other words, I love it.

 

It also uncapitalizes if you post comething like a bracket or parenthesis
Such as: [Round 1] becomes [round 1] and it gets annoying

it's possible to do this manually with formatting tricks but that's annoying and having non-capitalised titles could be used for cool shitposts and stuff

yeah having to add zero width non joiners is really annoying when you're trying to all lowercase :(

Hey, this could lead to a single persons forum title lose its intended aesthetic because it was auto capitalized! Dislike.

 

I think this is how easy it is to implement this change, which makes this suggestion even better.
