A couple months ago I made a thread featuring some nice ideas for housing, and I've decided to make a sequel because I have more ideas, and plus housing has more core features now so it would make sense to cover them

1: Change the housing size system
Currently, non-hero+ ranks are incredibly limited on what they can build, as they are given less space than us hero+ ranked players. This sucks because there will be some very creative users coming into Wynn, especially with Grian's viewers coming to the server, and they won't be able to make anything more than a small house. My solution? Give non-hero+ ranks the current largest housing island size. All hero+ players will instead gain an island that's twice as large, and they only gain this extra space if they have it unlocked so that it doesn't look stupid that they have all this unused space. I think this would make more sense as now the lower-ranked players can make small shopping villages with little trouble while ranked players can make full towns if they so please. It makes more sense to me, honestly. As for concerns about loading issues, here is how the islands would be formatted (smaller circle is the default, larger circle is the added land

    2: More housing mechanics
I made a full thread on this but I kinda regret not waiting to make this thread, so I'm going to post a new version of it on here (yay the spoiler glitch has ruined my thread!)
    1: Ratings

I've had my housing plot open sometimes and people have come over and said ''If this was Hypixel housing, I'd give this house a cookie'' and stuff like that. Hell, there was even one time where a horde of moderators + Salted came to my housing plot and said that it was good, even suggesting that likes should be added to housing
    [IMG]

So I thought for a while about suggesting this, and now I finally will.
    1: Ratings

It's simple. Doing /housing rate on a housing plot will bring up a GUI like this but more intuitive and without the durability bar

Each glass pane represents a rating for the house. Yellow is amazing, orange is good, white is neutral, gray is bad, red is terrible.

Each rating goes into the overall rating for the house, which shows up when it is hovered over in the public islands menu. The overall rating would be 1-5 stars. If you had only ever gotten good ratings, you would have 5 stars. If you got a few bad ratings among them, you would have 4.5 stars.

That's pretty much all I have to say, I'd like to see a simple rating system like this implemented

    2: Tags and naming

Looking for something specific? Well, it's hard right now. You'll have a difficult time finding showcases and stuff when there's mostly arenas and stuff. This would fix it.

First of all, going into the housing settings menu would have a ''Name + Tag'' button. Clicking it will have a selection of tags and one nametag at the top. Clicking the top one will allow you to type in a name for your plot. Then, the tags. These would include:

    Town
    Showcase
    Arena
    Hangout
    Parkour
    Misc

    Here is the GUI

    3: Tools

Building your housing plot can be a pain. Unlike in normal minecraft, there's no /fill function. So I have some tools for housing that could be cool to see

    1: Trowel

In the minecraft Quark mod, there's an item called the Trowel. It randomly selects an item in your hotbar and places it when used. This is great for block mixing, as it creates natural-looking block mixtures. This would be really useful to see in housing.

    2: Tape measure

Using this item on a placed block will allow you to drag it to a length you want it to be. This is good for making walls, but you can only use it if you have enough blocks to fill the desired area

    3: Terrain shaper
You can set a block for this to deform and raise that block into some nice shapes with it. Cannot create extra blocks.

3: Ability to remove bottom layers of plot
Want to shrink your island to a tiny island in the middle? Too bad! The bottom floor of the plot cannot be removed, so it's an unavoidable problem! The obvious solution is to make it so that you can break those blocks, but they will not give you those blocks. The block merchant has a ''Restore bottom floor'' option. At the very middle of your housing plot, there would be a bedrock block to prevent people from making it impossible to build anymore
Along with this feature, these changes would happen:

    • Random wool blocks no longer spawn buried in your plot
    • You can place blocks on the bottom layer without it glitching out

4: Moving NPCS + Dialogue NPCS
In my last thread, I suggested shop NPCs, but we don't even have these other 2 yet. Moving NPCs would be like the citizens found in cities. I would say that you can set a skin for it by using a player ID/username, but you already know what skins people would give their NPCs. Dialogue NPCs are completely stationary and they say whatever you want them, effected by /toggle swears/insults etc. Their skins are a selection of Wynn NPCs such as town citizens, Olm, Heliolux, Villagers etc

    I might add more later

This thread is a lot less agreeable than the last since the last one was just blocks that would be cool, this is based on functions and stuff

I like these ideas, but can you add a no option for people who don't?

Really the only problem I might have with the ratings is that someone could leave a 1-star rating to troll people, so it could maybe just be a like system, where people can like a plot. Otherwise these are all pretty good ideas.

I agree with this, dislike votes leave windows for trolls and toxic people, i think voting should be limited to likes similar to how hypixel cookies work. Great ideas nonetheless!

"I broke something last time so I need to break it again" is not a valid argument.

Just edit the poll to include a "none of these" option, edit the poll for the last thread too if you want to, but the poll isn't really representative of what people think if they're not able to express that they don't like something.

The poll is designed as a ''vote here if you like the ideas'' anyway. The ''No'' choice is literally to just not vote at all.

In closing, another issue is that i literally cannot add a clear ''No'' option to the poll, I would have had to do it when making the thread initially. This is because if I add a no option now, and then add more suggestions and thus more poll choices later, the ''None'' option would be in the middle of the poll with no way to be fixed.

it doesnt seem to be any difference here. Problem: non hero's have smaller space + unused space ruins builds. Your solution "increase their space but then increase hero space" - then there will still be less space and the unbuilt in many cases. increasing space for people could ruin their build, what about instead giving non-heros the full island, but hero+ the ability to buy 2 islands
