Quests should be categorised (such as either being combat or puzzle orientated), and display a difficulty rating for each of those categories.

Regarding quest length, if the ability to record an average time for completing a quest is possible, it should definitely be implemented.

 

this could be done, but then again, many quests combine different gameplay elements.
imo it feels better not to categorize them like that, though just by imagining i can't tell what it'd be like ingame and how it would affect a new player's perspective.
