Game Mechanics Translate Wynncraft(sort Of A Rant)

Hello, so Wynncraft is only available in the English language. We all know that, but translating it would not only bring benefit to the game, but also the community.

Put simple, translations could really biggen the community. Many of us don't actually live in an English-speaking country, just a rather big percentage living in places like the US or Great Britain. Just go to the introductions section on the forums or a guild discord.

What do you find? That most people are from another country, like Israel, Hungary or Spain. I, for example, have two friends that like Minecraft and have a decent computer.

Quests, lore and dialogue are very important parts of the game, consisting of most of Wynncraft's charm.

What is stopping them from playing the game? Language. One of them is French(he was also driven away by the tutorial, even though I like doing it), and the other one is Spanish, like me.

The existance of a feature or a mod that did this would probably help incorporate a lot of players into the community, which would be benefitial both in the size and diversity of our community increasing. An increase in size would be benefitial in admins being able to get more money from the store, and thus hire more developers and bring faster and better updates.

Diversity would be benefitial in just that, community is more diverse, that is good. Also people that don't talk English and somehow play the game anyway would stop getting unheard and bullies for their inablity to speak English.
Why? Because, most of the time, people having a hard time with abusebb are cultural or racial minorities.

This is actually feasible, there are many quest translations on the wiki and forums and French, German or Spanish guilds. I doubt adding a language setting with just a couple translations at the start and then keep expanding would be that difficult.
I would gladly work on that translating or managing, as I do not know how to code.

This has been suggested before and I'm pretty sure it's been stated by devs thay it's currently impossible to do, which sucks because this would be awesome.

I think that Wynn should be translated into Russian since a large portion of the current playerbase is from Russia, but all the rest of the countries would need a huge player influx to be worth translating

Shouldn't be too hard to get Russian translators since there are plenty of Russian players in our community now

I'd want Wynn to be localized to every country, but it's only a small RPG right now and would be very difficult and time-consuming to even hire translators for

Erm, good part of this game was made by voluntaries. I would certainly help with traductions. There are very good online translators(much better than Google Translate), like DeepL.
Also, sorry about the racism part, warned you it was a rant. I will delete it if you want.
It has similarities tho, and racism is orders of magnitude worse, as I pointed out.
Nobody is perfect and this fandom is extraordinarily nice, but there are still problems.

You don't have to delete it, I just don't think comparing some people who don't understand English to people who were taken from their homes and forced to do manual labour makes sense

 

You can compare some guy banging rocks together to make fire or a sharpened edge to a device able to do fucking billions of calculatios/sec to run a game, in the size of a small tablet, or altering the code of life itself.

There are mods. (at least for 1.19 version. I'm sure 1.20.2 update certainly screwed all o them) We had a Korean translation mod, which was based on Russian translation mod.

Still, it'd be nice to see it supported officially, since wynn has so many puzzles that has all the clues in english.

I was talking more about a big-scale project, rewritimg the code or making a big mod, like Wynntills,or a Wynntills add-on.
For the signs, there could be a feature where you click the sign, and a translated version will appear in chat.

 

I know this is far from the entire Wynncraft being translated, but quests are being translated over at Wynncraft Wiki, with most of the Quests being translated into Czech, German, French, and Russian

And I was taking about making a mod to translate, I am fully aware of the wiki pages. Just that the game would be a far better experience if the translations were in the chat.

I think it could be easely done and like everyone said there's already mods and stuff to have at least some already translated quests but it could be very cool to have it directly in game (like on Hypixel where you can change the language) also I am French and can understand that sometimes language is a barrier to atract more people on the game (I tried to bring some friends but the language was one of the main issue for them) personally I started playing Wynncraft long ago and was still young so I didnt understood everything but it kinda forged my English too, but I can understand that people need translation. Also please I think its better to remove the part on LGBT and Racism, I dont think its very revelant to your suggestion and it just brings shity politics where there shouldnt be some.
