-walk speed is only 11 (can be more depending on rolls ofc), it does not affect you much at all, it isn't something to worry about.
-life steal is not impactful on Mage. Small-ish amounts of negative life sustain do not matter on the class due to Heal.
and yeah, it's enough to sustain. I do recommend cycling meteor-snake for better costs. It's still good to cast a random heal every now and then to counter the -ls a bit and possibly decrease the impact of surprise attacks.

it's definitely a solid build already, and if you are ok with lifesteal as your main sustain (at super slow so it is only ~2 seconds smacking things with a stick) you can drop scaldsteppers (which is sadly not very good. i wish it were though) for cracklers. you can also swap your necklace for dhydro or something similar if you want more mana for your cycle. yang is similarly replaceable with a mana ring if you want more. if you need even more, which you might with a 5 second clock, you could consider neuron as a helmet.

it has 10/5mr from equipment (plus the 5/5mr you regen naturally). This should support 3 spells per second, which translates to an average of 1.5 bash/uppercut per second.

This means, if you can upkeep this, this build will do ~20.5k versus ~21.5k dps in the build you posted while having 1.6k hpr/4 and ~35% more eHP compared to the build you posted. It also has pretty decent elemental defences in 3 of the 5 elements.

This difference is dps becomes less if you use Endurance (fire powders), because the build you posted has high fire %, closing the gap relatively as both build stack Endurance in theory.

The build I suggest would be able to stack Endurance better, because you can rely on passive hpr and the high defences to take hits, even if you need to reposition or have no mobs to fight.

I use a variation of this build, and I can easily upkeep 1.5 spells/second versus cc immune monsters like any raid boss or, as you mentioned, The Eye.

I'd only recommend you this build if you can use the Wynntills macro or comparable (you may use 1 macro to cast 1 spell, refer to https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/game-forum-rules.111874/, rule 2 if you want to know more about allowed use of macro) and don't mind having a lower per-spell damage, but comparable actual dps. Feel free to sometimes smack something with a stick, but it's not needed in this build. Actually, in your current build, smacking stuff with a stick to sustain actually lowers your true dps if it's spellbased.

NOTE: For monsters without cc immunity, use uppercancel (most relevant, high health enemies, do not get launched by uppercut/bash, thank god!). I also did not include War Scream in the dps calculations.
