World Full-on Illager Race

I know some mobs are illagers but they don't seem to be illagers in the lore. So you could add various illager enemies like vindicators, evokers, etc throughout the the Dark and Kander Forests and less frequently in other places in Gavel too as it fits with the base game and it kind of makes sense lore-wise (ie. maybe illagers are just decayed villagers?). They would spawn more frequently around ruined settlements that they decided to claim for themselves. There could also be some quests revolving around them. For example, maybe one of the citizens of Gelibord or Lexidale needs you to defeat a particular group of Illagers that's causing more trouble for the settlement than usual. The illagers could bring the fight to you during the quest, and you'd have to kill a couple of waves of them. But before you can kill the last few illagers they run away and you would have to chase them (you can't kill them during this phase). If they got too far away from you, they would throw out an emerald in panic so you don't lose the trail. You would then follow them back to their camp and kill their warlord (who could also be a dark magic user). You can add more potential quests and feedback in the comments.

Or they could just be that. However, their skin tone isn't exactly normal so who knows. Maybe they're just distant cousins of the Villagers? Either way, it would make sense for them to be from Gavel given their similarities to Villagers. I also changed my suggestion to include them spawning in other places too, although less frequently.

 

I think in vanilla minecraft, Illagers are supposed to be outcasted Villagers. Honestly I think it'd make more sense in Wynn for all Illager textures to be replaced with the villager colours.
