Here is a mega thread of all my ideas to do with housing.

Objective: to make housing meaningful towards core Wynn gameplay, make it more fluent to build, make it less grindy to obtain blocks, more interesting with more mechanics, and all together make it more enjoyable!

    Block Bank Rework
The bank is annoying. No search feature, many blocks look similar too...

I suggest that instead of having a block bank, general blocks are stored in "liquid state". What I mean is that instead of having a bank full of stacks and stacks of blocks, you input raw materials and those are "liquified" into an internal buffer of "currency"
*Resources cannot be withdrawn to prevent mass storage abuse. These resources are ONLY for purchasing blocks.
You input resources or items in the bottom, and they are put into one big central "tank." For example, putting in one tier 0 copper raises the copper count by one. You could also input 4 stone back into the bank and raise the copper count by one. (Numbers could progress into decimals if necessary.)
Purchasing blocks from the block merchant directly draws from this tank. No more needing to run back and forth getting the right materials!

This will make the bank system much better in my opinion. You can trade blocks in and out when you need and lets you always have the right block on hand.

Side note: Why can't we move the bank and block merchant? Considering the other things we get, it should be added for convenience.

Other side note: This bank will only be for general blocks, as I mentioned above. There will still be a normal bank that contains things like NPCS and workstations and other special blocks (see later)

    Visitors
Yes! I want my favourite Wynncraft characters to visit my house! And they bring rewards? Yes!

Every 6-ish hours, a new or old Wynncraft NPC will give your house a visit! Based on their opinion of it, they may give you rewards of special blocks, resources, items, ingredients, and they may even sponsor you! If they REALLLLY like it... maybe they will even stick around.

NPCs will grade your house and have a certain "satisfaction level." Every NPC can have different criteria, some specific and some generic. For example, the King of Thanos will like your house more and more if there's tons of emerald blocks! Alternatively, a Dogun will appreciate it if it's comprised of molten blocks.
Some characters, like the King of Ragni, want to see their flag flying. Maxie wants there to be lots of special blocks.

Here is a list of possible visitors and what criteria they could judge your house based on.
    • King of Ragni- Ragni flag present.
    • Ragni Citizen- Ragni flag present.
    • Enzan- No criteria. Always likes your house.
    • Detlas Citizen- No criteria. Random judgement.
    • Almuj Citizen- Higher % of sand base blocks = higher praise.
    • Nemract Citizen- Higher % of water blocks = higher praise
    • The Seaskipper- At least 200 blocks of water for maximum praise.
    • Yahya- You know what he likes.
    • Nesaak Citizen- Higher % of Snow and Ice blocks = higher praise.
    • Troms Citizen- Foliage blocks, Troms flag
    • King of Troms- Foliage blocks , Troms flag
    • Sherk- Slime and mud-like blocks.
    • Zhight- Always dislikes your house.
    • Lari- Light-coloured blocks
    • Kelight- The Corrupter of World's head is present
    • Llevigar Citizen- Quartz.
    • Maxie- Special blocks

This is in NO way a full list. I could go on for pages, but you get the idea. You should not be able to please every visitor because they have contrasting wants. Nesaak Citizens and Almuj Citizens cannot both be pleased because one wants snow and one wants sand, so you will have to make a meaningful choice when designing your house and optimize how to best suit everyone.

    Rewards
Based on their approval, these visitors provide rewards. Sometimes, they will hand you a high valued ingredient. Or, they may simply let you open a high-level chest containing items and emeralds. They could also give you special blocks for you to use in your house.

Item rewards give players who aren't exactly interesting in building an incentive. Certain items and ingredients could be housing reward specific and unobtainable any other way, but people would probably be mad at that.

    Sponsors
If a visitor is almost fully pleased with your house, they will sponsor you. You may recall in the bank picture above a "[0p/h]." This is your imported resources stat. Every hour, your sponsors will send you resources to help you build your house because they love it so much. For example, if your housing plot contains a bunch of snow, a Nesaak citizen will decide to sponsor you. Now, you will receive a small amount of Spruce every hour into your wood supply, permanently. However, they will stop sponsoring you if you remove the snow, or if a long enough time elapses.

Sponsors help relieve a bit of the resource grind, while still feeling like you earned it in the long run.

    Residents
A visitor may be very impressed, and want to stay for a while. You can accept them as a resident, and set their spawn point somewhere on your plot. They will wander around freely. Wynncraft Ranks can allow higher ranks to have a higher resident capacity. $$$. After a while, or when you kick them out, they will leave. They will give you a great reward depending on how well they enjoyed their stay, and if you treated them nicely. Having room to roam, giving them food and drink, etc, will all boost their happiness.

    Special Blocks
Wynncraft is full of unique, interactive blocks! We should get those on our plot!

    Special blocks are obtainable by

    • purchasing with emeralds
    • visitor rewards
    • in-game rewards (quest rewards, discovery rewards, etc)
For example, the head of the Corrupter of Worlds is put into your Special Blocks Bank when you complete the Temple of Legends.

Some examples of special blocks I'd like to see:

    • Corkian Jump Pad
    • Slime Bounce Block
    • Inert Mob Totem
    • Fan
    • Heads of bosses
    • Plus many more!
    Display Cases
Bragging rights. A display case is a pedestal with glass casing that you can put your well-earned mythics in! When someone hovers over it, its name, stats and lore are projected!

    Trade Market Integration
The trade market isn't very... elegant. This would help a little bit.

Your house can be where you have your own personalized shop! Whether you sell mythics on the daily, ingredients, or just charge 999999e for rotten flesh, you can stylize it all!

You can purchase Market Blocks from the block merchant. Higher rank=more market blocks. When you put items up on the trade market, you can choose for one to be displayed in one Market Block. Like a Display Case, hovering over it shows it's info, but this time, also a price. The person looking can buy the item, right there!

Letting people sell things straight out of their homes would incentivize more house parties, because you could essentially have it as an advertisement for your goods.

    Conclusion
The housing feature, in my opinion, is not near completion. These are just my ideas! I am sure there are plenty more things that can be added. Housing needs a purpose, and an incentive to build, and this is my take. Thanks for reading.

Yes, although one thing. Couldn't the player theoretically fill all the visitors criteria all at once?

Why does housing suddenly need to be animal crossing?
I don't like this, it would force players into putting certain things on their island that they don't want just to have an NPC stay on their plot. They could dig an area under the island and fill it with the stuff the NPCs want but it would be tedious and annoying for them
Also the NPCs that want water can't be done because water isn't available in housing and it never will be either

Honestly I feel like having custom NPCs would be more effective for detail than having a bunch of random characters vibing on your island. How good would it be to set a username/ account ID to give an NPC a custom skin and stuff?

I like the bank and the custom blocks but I don't really like the animal crossing villager idea

A different thing you could do is have your pets roam the island, similar to some RPGs where characters not in your party will all stand idle in some central hub.

You would be able to set which pets you own on the island and what they do, like stand still, walks around, or follow people.

It would be pretty funny to have a bunch of Wybels zooming around or following people visiting the island, or Death standing at a desk near the front like a receptionist.
