Idea: Extension To Dern Questline. [spoiler To Some Of Dern Series Currently]

Lore expert vs noob

 

Do you really think people want to go to der via a fetchquest with random characters that makes you go across the entire ocean for 1 npc and then you have to go back over once again?
What people want is a quest where you, alone, head into the Realm of Dern to avenge Aledar, Elphaba and Luc-(maybe not) as well as to see if Lari still exists (would prefer if the answer was no but we'll see)

Also I feel like Fruma will come before Dern so it's too early to make dern suggestions yet, not only that but main story quests dont ever come from suggestions. The closest to it is me asking constantly for a light realm rework last year and even then it drew literally no inspiration from my posts (maybe apart from orphion being a dog but that was probably a coincidence)

If you want to suggest a quest, don't make it a fetchquest or a main story quest.

edit: just realised that this is supposed to be an extension to AJB and AJF and not the dern quest
even then it makes no sense cause it just makes new characters appear out of nowhere

ok i know blastbasher already said this but there is an ek rune in the spider ruins discovery in llevigar plains
it can also be seen on the mob totem texture

im 95% sure there will be more realm of light quests , next major update will either be dern or fruma (imo)

 

I know its kinda confusing with the runes but the purpose of this quest suggestion is to put runes deeper in the lore i dont think they get much lore attention so thats why

None of the runes connection lore is in the game the suggestion is adding that lore

As far as I know there are actually 4 mentions or appearances of the Ek Rune.

1. Az Lore
2. On the wall in the spider cave discovery in that one Llevigar plains discovery
3. It's texture appears on the mob totem
4. One of the runic words on the fire axe in Flaming Retribution

 

this is something that i completely agree with. we do have rune guardian lore (some often ignored bits too like OotG), but we need more.

The item lore for az IS cannon for it tells how the forgery was created.

Well it is confirmed to exist just not used in game. so thats why I put ek rune in the runic masters. Each rune might have a respective elemet as well but im not for sure. Im guessing nii is thunder is uth is water tol is earth az is air ek is fire. Its just based on their glows and also the fact that theres exactly 5

The runic masters is basically added lore to who the rune guardians are and who brought them here. Runic which i am writing now explains a lot more lore and makes you meet the runemaster whos former house is in se. This is why I think runes are dernic related in a way.

Your lore does not make sense compared to the estabilished one. You are going against current canon and in my opinion not even in a good way.

the lore of Az may not be canon but some lore stated in the secret discovery ''Fracture in Reality'' says that the forgery was created when the runes were combined

He probably did, the lore of Az may be confirmed canon due to this discovery. The stories match at least.

If you look closely, Selvut says ''a lot of the lore on items is not true due to the lore not being done yet when they were written''

A lot doesn't mean all, and we can deduce lores as true if there is non-item evidence in game (Ohms' wish, as an example, mentions Gale's grave which is a real location)

 

If you look on his second reply, he says "treat them as non-canon".
We would have to be picky otherwise, which would just bring more problems.
