    Spell Books are rare books that can be found in loot chests or obtained from quests. They act as a temporary buff to the efficiency and power of your spells. There are four tiers of spell books, each with their own rarity, the higher the tier, the rarer the book, and longer the effects last. Each spell book is able to be read 3 times before it disappears.

    Spell Book Tiers:

    Beginner Spell Book (T1) - Improves a specific spell for 7:00 (spell improvement)
    Intermediate Spell Book (T2) - Improves a specific spell for 15:00 (same spell improvement)
    Advanced Spell Book (T3) - Improves a specific spell for 23:00 (slightly better improvement)
    Master Spell Book (T4) - Improves a specific spell for 32:00 (better improvement)

    Spell Book Types:

    Each class has 4 spell book possibilities, one for each spell. You will always get your class' spell book type, but the kind of spell you receive is completely random (25% chance for each spell). This means getting a spell book that improves your arrow bomb as an archer is a 1/4 chance, not including the rarity of each tier of spell book, that would make the odds of getting a master tier arrow bomb book much lower.

    It is only possible to get one spell book per chest, this will be to prevent copious amounts of books being thrown around.

    Spell Book Odds:

    The base odds of getting a spell book, regardless of quality, is around 1% per chest, making them rare, but not stupid rare. The odds increase with loot bonus (more chances for a spell book space) and loot quality (better chance to get spell books, and higher tiers). Here are the chances of getting a specific tier of spell book, after taking into consideration the 1% odds that you even get a spell book. The odds seem low, but please take into consideration that most people grinding books will be using loot gear, making them more common than you think.

    Beginner:
    45% chance (regresses with loot quality)
    Intermediate: 35% chance (regresses with loot quality)
    Advanced: 15% chance (improves with loot quality)
    Master: 5% chance (improves with loot quality)


    Spell Book Examples:

    Here are some effects of each spell book:

    Warrior Example:
    Intermediate Spell Book of Protection: "You read the writings, your war scream spell now casts 1.5x as effective!" Timer: 15:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    Mage Example:
    Master Spell Book of The Cosmos: "You read the writings, your meteor spell now falls 1.5x as fast and deals more damage!" Timer: 32:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    Archer Example:

    Advanced Spell Book of The Arrowhead: "You read the writings, your arrow storm spell now shoots 1.75x longer!" Timer: 23:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    Assassin Example:

    Beginner Spell Book of The Blade: "You read the writings, your spin attack now spins twice!" Timer: 7:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    Shaman Example:

    Intermediate Spell Book of Aural Prowess: "You read the writings, your aura spell casts quicker!" Timer: 15:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    LORE:

    "For centuries, the Elven race had produced countless pieces of literature regarding the different types of advanced magicks and their properties. They were originally meant for the young scholars of Aldorei to study, and increase their overall magical prowess, but had since been stored in the Aldorei Library as part of the Public Domain. These texts had been used by the elves for generations and had gradually found their way across the provinces. However, due to the spread of the corruption, and the inevitable dangers of holding knowledge, especially of deep magicks, most of these texts have either been hidden away in fear of misuse or have been entirely destroyed."

    I believe this lore fits the description of spell books, as them being hidden away is speaking of the rare chance you will find one in a loot chest, and them being destroyed helps emphasize their scarceness. The books of more general magicks are more common, and the books of advanced and deep magicks (advanced+master books) are incredibly rarer.

    there ixx as a damage penalty right? Otherwise that just doubles your dps. Overall a pretty neat idea though.

    Yes, the second spin would do %less damage (acts like a longer spin attack but deteriorated over time)

    Very interesting but it could be even better if it actually does special effects like the Major Id's, because right now it doesnt seem very interesting compared to a potion of intelligence that can give you up to +44% spell dmg. But if you make it work like a brand new Major Id (meaning that we are not taking the already existing ones) then Im sure it will be very interesting and fun to use.

    Let me give you some exemples of what I mean:
    Advanced Spell Book of The Solar Archer: "You read the writings, your arrow storm spell now shoots burning arrows that deal 10% of the enemy life in 10 seconds!" Timer: 23:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    Intermediate Spell Book of The Rampart: "You read the writings, your war scream spell now gives +3 attack speed to you and all the surrounding allies" Timer: 15:00 - Can be read 2 more times

    Would this work for all enemies (including bosses), or would bosses be immune to this effect? I'm thinking this one might be too overpowered against bosses with a lot of health

    this sounds like scrolls/food/potions but for people that dont want to do crafteds... Maybe if they proced or changed a spell into a different unique spell but this just seems like more consumables when we already have three.
