World New Class

    Hi! So I have had this idea for the past several years and just noticed there is a suggestion thread! I have always wanted to see a sort of “Customizable” class as in a specialist or a “Bob” class where you can pick your spells!!!
    From the four base classes (Archer, Assassin, Warrior, Mage) you could pick your spells from each class and make your own combo with them! For example I would love to have Heal, Invis, Meteor and arrow shield on a character!!!

    Now I know this could get pretty broken and would need many ways to balance it. I think a great way to do that would be limiting the spells to 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th slots so that you can’t have both a meteor and an arrow bomb for a straight glass cannon or go with leap and teleport for speed.
    It would also probably need many other ways to balance it but I just want to get this idea out there and see what people think! I hope this is viable and might get considered as a new class!!! Thanks!

    Mage main attack, heal, vanish, bomb arrow, and smoke bomb. Seems balanced.

    Actual feedback: why would you ever play a class that isn’t this one and the way spell percentages work this would be broken. (Meteor has 500% but it’s fair because of Mages low base)

    That’s a solid point! My response to the base damage would be that every class has its own weapon so why wouldn’t this one? I would give it lower stats than all the other classes as in damage resistance, base damage, etc... so that it is balanced out in that area sense it’s more of a tactical setup than a heavy hitter or tank.

    Arrow storm has 600%, and that’s on the highest base damage class (cataclysm is an outlier and is ignored here)

    hitting all 60 arrows is hard compared to landing a meteor.

    Sure, but it’s not impossible, and it’s easy to do from high ground

    Also meteor is limited to one per second, but with nighthawk you can easily deal 400% damage multiple times a second even with the nerfs

    My criticism (Also add a poll as well):

    I'll just say this here as a TL;DR: There is not going to be a point in using any of the main classes if you can customize it, and is very broken.

    This also kind of already exists (Items with Madness like Pandemonium). If you get to choose which spells you have and those are static (Meaning they cannot be changed later on), then a class with Heal/Arrow Storm/Totem, Teleport/Vanish, Meteor/Bomb Arrow, and Ice Snake/Arrow Shield would be insanely broken. If you don't get hit at all and get to spam-heal yourself, then you essentially almost live forever as long as you have good Mana Regen. If you get to use all of the weapons on that class, then it would be Game-Breaking. You can heal easily and dish out MASSIVE damage, essentially making you a demigod, and would remove challenge altogether. I don't think this would work at all.

    Also, don't really take offense, this just my criticism on it.

    being able to have spells from any class would be completely broken. the reason classes have the spells given to them is to balance other spells (e.g mage spells suck because heal is OP)

    but all of mages spells are good (except for maybe ice snake). The only class with an actually bad spell kit is warrior, not because the individual spells are bad but because the spells don’t work well with each other.

    Ok, I hear you all saying that this would be super broken but I still believe it may be viable with proper balancing. By this I mean all round lower class stats (as I stated before) such as damage resistance and base damage. It would likely have to be lower than the damage of a warrior and the resistance of a shaman thus making it the weakest class in game stat wise but open for so many new combos and tactics! What I would love to see is a discussion of ways that this could be viably balanced. However I know this is just an idea and there’s next to no chance of it actually happening. I love the idea of it tho!!! It would open so many new options and play styles!
